Really liked the art and the music / sound design!! I had trouble consistently grabbing the dice though - hard to tell where the point of my cursor was.
Fun game, pretty cool game loop. A frantic button mashing type thing except you have to grab dice instead of hit buttons.
It was difficult to stay with it as dice kept getting stuck in weird places, or couldn't be gripped easily, and there wasn't much time to calculate a cannon load from seeing an incoming asteroid.
The sound effects and visual effects were well done :)

Couldn't grab the dice consistently
The dice loading thing is sick and the art, music go hard, but ngl the controls are kinda rough and I couldn't see the enemies half the time
The controls are not good but art and music bangs!!
This was a wild ride! I had so much stress when the asteroid came plummeting toward me XD The controls were a bit janky at times. Still, looked pretty good and had fun.
It was really hard to control on my machine. I wanted to grab the dice and put them into that funnel thing and the hand would sometimes miss the die I wanted to hold. I love the concept of needing to be strategic about how many dice you use for each target you smash! This had a D&D vibe so I personally feel it would have shined and worked better in a D&D or Shadowrun setting (but I might be biased) and it has A LOT of potential. Like if you need to pick dice for multiple enemies and be stingy or deliberate to minimize how much damage you receive. Very cool Mathy/Statisticy/RNG game. Could even be worked into PvP well.
So I love the dice loading mechanic! If it was an oldskul turn-based fantasy/sci-fi/fiction CRPG where you need to place dice on the moves of your characters to power them up I would buy this game.
The mechanic is so solid of a concept if balanced well (and I know there are similar things).
I also love the vibe and the theme you are going for, it feels like that game Privateer, the original one.
But I don't know if that worked well personally with your dice concept.
Oh, and the art and music are really good but the "enemies" are hard to see, maybe add GUI radar elements to the ship that display them clearly.
If you need more feedback about the control issue I'm facing and want me to record a video or something, let me know! Great work on the art and music, and a fantastic game mechanic idea!
Thank you so much for the review! That is a really good point about the visibility of the asteroid coming in. I might even have some solutions for it coming with the next update.
There could certainly be many ways to add to this little formula, and I'll be gladly experimenting with some of them. Especially the TurnBased RPG one.
With the control feature, I am pretty certain I know that you are experiencing, a couple of friends also had very similar feedback right before the deadline. So already working on a fix for it. I would be interested in knowing what resolution you were playing on, if you wouldn't mind providing that.
Really glad to see the art and music hit the right spot!
Oh yeah!
I play on 4k at 300%
(I tried doing full-screen and windowed)
Yeah, the music and art are great. :)
Curse these greasy mits! I really like the concept and vibe, reminds me of a modern version of when boomer shooter used to use cutout for the sprite of hands and weapons. nice work
