Turn based games are some of my favorite kinds! Specially advanced wars and FFTactics, so this stuff is right down my alley! One of the things that really impressed me was the design of the characters and how the ui really conveys things very clearly! Great job!
Hey thanks so much! all the UI and art were drawn by one person, our team's artist Grimmzane. Keep an eye on this as we are continually updating the project post jam and will have a lot to show off!
Nice start. I was playing the game for a while wondering why I wasn't doing any damage or why the enemies weren't attacking me - and then I read the comments. I think for visual polish, it would be nice if there was more to the attack visuals - you have so many different attack names, but it's a little unsatisfying when I'm met with a color fade or a couple bullet holes - I'm guessing there will be more polish in that realm.
Good luck!
Hey thanks for the feedback! We are a small team without any animators, so this is something we let sort of slip by the wayside - we are integrating the animation system to be able to procedurally swap out enemy units / action targets. But I digress, yes we need more animations haha.
Stay tuned for updates and thanks for trying this project out!
The story at the start and all the artwork for the characters and mechs is super cool! Looking forward to playing more when the gameplay is ready.
Thanks for the feedback, our artist worked their ass off on all of this, even the UI is made by just one person :O
Stay tuned as we have spent the week working on a hotfix and have begun implementing combat features!
I couldnt figure out how the combat rly works or no attack i did had any effect. But the Graphics and Feeling is great, very grimy mechanical style!
Thank you so much for checking out our project!
It is still very WIP as this is our team's first release, but we are actively working on patching things and getting all of the gameplay in place!
The UI and character art is astounding. I know you have been working on this for a long time, I'm excited for what's next.
Thank you so much! We all really appreciate the opportunity this jam has given us to work on bigger projects.
Stay tuned for updates!
A highly ambitioned tactical RPG!
The good stuff: I like the visuals of the character and the overall playground. The audio has the right vibe.
The gameplay seems to be bugged unfortunately. I could move my units around, no problem, but every attack apparently did not do any damage to the enemy? There was a fancy animation and all, but nothing really happened. Sometimes my shields went down to zero but that's it.
I managed to crash the game while clicking around to check if I could interact or scan anything...
Console log:
All in all a good starting points but definitely needs some work.
Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing! (I appreciate the detailed crash information haha)
Our goal was to polish UI and gameplay visuals for the jam and move into fully integrating story and gameplay in the following days. We are still actively working on this project post-jam and will have our first hotfix update soon!
This game looks quite good, i like the way you setup the narrative in the game.
Unfortunally In the battle the enemies didnt made any movement, and couldnt receive damage with my moves.
This game looks quite promising! keep at it!
Thank you for playing! Stay tuned as we are actively working on this project, our focus for the jam was to get our visual systems polished but we are currently working implement a full playable story and combat mechanics.
