  • Fantastic game! I love the movement and timing required to effectivley use saw blade as a weapon. The artwork is nicely polished with awesome use of colours through out all the levels. One thing that I would like to see is a wider field of view for the game, at certain points it was a little to closed off of a view. But then again that just might be the old man in me coming out. Your GDD was definitely worth a mention, it is exactly what we are looking for in these Game Jams. The fact all of your art, music and coding was created by a team of 2 in 2 weeks really shows the skills you have. I AM SAW!

Summarise your game!
You are the weapon of a saw blade spinning. You will aim the saw and release it to start your journey! You can spin the saw, and choose when to deploy the blades! The saw will react to the walls and environment! Try to destroy all the wood enemies.

Arrow keys / WASD to control the spin of the saw blade.
Click Mouse Button / E to extend saw blade teeth. Release Button to Retract Saw Blade Teeth.
Space Bar to Jump

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
A Saw blade is a dangerous weapon, when used correctly. It is greatly feared by any wooden creature.

This was cute. I enjoyed rolling around slicing stuff up. The initial launch didn't seem to do much since you almost immediately started just rolling around on your own. On the third level the framerate dropped so low that I couldn't really play any more, possibly because I was on firefox.

Leaderboards was definitely a good move here. While the collision felt a little frustrating at time, overall i liked the concept. Great job!

Nice take on the theme and good level design for a jam. Definitely the type of game one could dig into (the leaderboard feature is always nice for that) and really get good at.

Fun game! But I'm not gonna lie, I got stuck int he first proper level 🤣 there was one jump I just couldn't make.

The controls felt pretty decent, but it almost felt like the whole launching bit at the start was superfluous in the end?

Particularly liked the graphics, they worked really well!

I like the concept for sure.  Really need some cool sound effects when the blade comes out, like a grinding sound.  The jumping feels pretty brutal sometimes but overall good submission.  It was pretty hard for me though.

When jumping, the movement is hard to control.
But I really liked the art, and having a leaderboard makes it special haha

There is no air strafe like most platformers, this creates some unique movement that has to be setup on the ground.
