"all men are evil" is radfem/terf rhetoric, but clarifying "all cis men" because you want to signal that you're not transphobic doesn't work because it's still deeply rooted in radfem beliefs. It's saying you believe there's something inherently evil in being born/assigned "male", and you carry it over in how you treat ppl who transition in or out of that gender. "All cis men are evil", is gender essentialist and you can't get around that.

Fucking tired of ppl who think their terf soundbites with a fresh coat of paint are sooo progressive

I just saw the most Galaxy Brain gender take ever, from a cis man on reddit

[ID: a screenshot of a comment from reddit, with no username visible. The commend reads: This doesn’t make a ton of sense to me either. Setting aside the question of whether gender/sex is assigned or observed at birth, the gender I was assigned at birth was ‘boy.’ The gender I have now is ‘man’. Boys and men have different gender roles, and few adults identify as boys anymore. From this standpoint, every adult has a different gender than the one they had at birth. End ID]

Framing “girl” and “boy” as separate genders from “woman” and “man” is such an amazing take. it’s a framework that accommodates and explains so many trans experiences. Some trans people never were their AGAB. Some feel like they were their AGAB, but that that changed (usually when puberty hits, which is when you start “becoming a man/woman”. The accepted societal path is that girls grow up to into women, and boys grow up into men. But some girls grow up into men, and some boys grow up into women. This guy was a boy who grew up into a man, which generally works out pretty well for people. Some boys and girls grow up into people who aren’t men or women, even! It’s like this random cis guy skipped right over transgender 101, 102, 201, etc. and stumbled directly into Transgender Nirvana.

Oh my fucking god I’ve never resonated so deeply with a gender take in my entire life I’m going to cry over this shit.

Being a girl was fun guys. I was even good at it, I think. I even miss it sometimes. Being a woman is…. not worth it to me. It’s not that am not or was never a girl, it’s that ‘what I want to be when I grow up’ is a queer masc.

I guess I can stop gaslighting myself out the validity of own gender now maybe?

that’s cool.

How many people’s most beloved childhood stuffed animals are actually teddy bears, like I feel like that’s a thing someone made up. Reblog this and put what your longest owned and/or favorite stuffed animal as a child was in the tags, inquiring minds want to know

You are deranged

i’m like if a bloke who does fuck all was a shonen protagonist

I’m sorry I have *so many* Trent Crimm feelings all of the sudden wtf.

I love it when fictional characters are middle-aged and experienced and have made decades of mistakes before we meet them. but also like. man’s SO mystified by Ted Lasso.

He just uprooted his whole career because he had to write ONE article harming this man. and then just Shows Up at Nelson one day and stares at Ted like a sad lost puppy until he lets him write a book about him.

not saying it’s gay but like,,, it’s kinda gay guys

i feel like i don't really share headcanons on here a lot but oliver and mark have been on my mind so i thought i would share how i imagine them getting together

it's at least a year after tct. they had a conversation about their feelings post episode 20, but oliver wasn't ready for a relationship and mark realized that they still need to put in some more work repairing their friendship first. they do still live together, which is actually a pretty helpful tool for them.

that conversation motivated oliver to actually start looking for help — which Included therapy, but oliver was never going to be able to get better without talking about his ability, so he finds some unorthodox ways of recovery and healing (they're HEALTHY i promise)

but eventually they're at a point where they can Try. and they try casual at first - going on a couple dates, testing the waters. they keep it on the down low, only chloe and caleb and mags know.

mark is the one who asks oliver to be his boyfriend, after maybe a week of this. it's not on a date. it's at home, when they're watching a movie and oliver had put an arm around him and they're just Comfortable. and mark asks, and they have That conversation (because they TALK fuck you). that's when they tell people.

boyfriend hcs coming soon maybe 👀

This is so fucking adorable. also love how Mags is thrown in there with the people who figured it out, the other two can literally see into their heads and Mags is just over here having eyes and and the company braincell

okay so I haven’t posted any Ted Lasso content on here ever so I don’t know how this could possible reach the right but people but I Need to know. There is a Made in Manchester discord server that I keep seeing pop up in the a/ns of some Absolute Fantastic Jamie Tartt-centric fics on ao3. This mysteriously land of great author friends... is a server exclusively for having feelings about Jamie specifically ‘cause the name implies that and I am Intrigued. Is it 18+ only? If so, sorry for asking,  If not, where can I find it I want more Ted Lasso friends.

my in-universe hc for why eddie's missing poster has the wrong age (because it IS the wrong age, he's 19-20, most likely 20 in canon)

is that wayne has made and put up so many missing posters for eddie that he's started using the same ones and just tweaking what he needs to. and sometimes he misses smaller details like age and sometimes he's just too tired or stressed. all he worries about is the picture. what matters is that he finds his kid.

because eddie would run away a lot as a kid. and the police never made a deal out of it because he was. a kid who ran away a lot. he always came back. but wayne always put up the posters anyway. he didn't want to risk any time being the One Time something goes wrong. and he never wanted to risk losing eddie.

and most of the time, seeing those flyers up was what made eddie come back.

the vibes of my pride month so far are... overflowing righteous fury and jealousy at the cishet people who can just. exist and take steps toward their own happiness without people calling them delusional and selfish or worrying if they’ll jeopardize their own safety.

Imagine how nice that must be.

MYTH: Americans set off fireworks on the 4th of July, in honor of our Independence Day

FACT: Americans set off fireworks from approximately June 20th—July 20th, for no reason other than this is the time of year that you can literally buy them at any grocery store

Sometimes I just get really emotional about Wolf 359 because the fact that they decided that it's music, that makes the human species special, is just so beautiful. These frequencies that make out brains go happy and our bodies go dance, do the same things to the aliens, but we're the only one's to have figured out how to make it work?? Astounding! Groundbreaking! Fuck quantum physics and maths and other smart stuff fuck yeah music!

PSA: If you see a mobility aid user who you do not know (or don't know all that well), don't ask them why they use it. Period. Even if it's in good faith, asking for someone's medical history out of the blue is actually very invasive and disrespectful, especially if it's someone you don't know.

Ableds are encouraged to reblog this, actually. Clown and I'm blocking you because I'm done with having to deal with y'all today.

now that tct is fully released, i'm v excited to share the oc i created for the series!

mark/oliver is maybe my favorite ship, so obviously i had to come up with a kid for them. tobias (named by my friend @robin-in-a-hoodie!) uses he/they pronouns, is autistic and physically disabled, and was adopted at nine five years after tct.

they're an alchemist, and meet The Boys when oliver is asked to come to the am to teach them their ability. he uses a cane up until he's 13 when he gets a permanent wheelchair.

he hates waffles and has a special interest in faeries. and i love them DEARLY
