Just A Dog Doing Taxes

@jackalsthings

28 He/They just being a freaking doggo and figuring out life. Theriotypes: Jackal, Domestic dog, Bird based eldritch horror, Snow Leopard

I am just a creature, with shiny items interwoven between my feathers. I so rarely feel like my human form can suit me. When my teeth are too dull, mouth is too short, eyes are too plain. How am I meant to feel when my feathers rustle beneath the skin? Poking, prodding, aching for a way out of the pores. Claws are too dull, skin too soft, vulnerable. I am but a beast, my urges simple and clear. Why does my human form betray them?

MASCDOG / BOYHOUND 🐾

MASCDOG / BOYHOUND ;

A xenogender that is masc/male-aligned in the way a guard dog would be a boy. Connected to calling for a dog (“here, boy!”), big guard dogs, and protecting. Coined by me! 🪙

choosing to allocate spoons to hanging out and having a good time at the cost of perfectly completing all your work is not a failing it is in fact an act of survival. “too sick to work = too sick to play” is in fact ableist bullshit that you don’t have to buy into. and the fact that leisure time is treated like a privilege is a fucking travesty

I think a lot of us had “too sick to work = too sick to play” drilled into us at elementary school age because having a kid stay home from school is a major burden on parents in many cases (it means taking time off work or arranging for a sitter etc) So, to make absolutely sure that you're really sick for real and not faking, add a punishment to being ill.

I wonder why so many parents never ask 'why would my kid dislike school enough to pretend to be sick to avoid going there'
