About

Hi. I’m Jaimi (she/her)

I’m an amateur polymath - I draw, write, compose, perform, cosplay, and some more. And yet, I am mediocre at all of it. I also GM and homebrew stuff for Pathfinder 2e.

I have another blog dedicated to my Pathfinder setting, although I keep a great deal of my PF2 homebrew in the JaimiOfAllTrades Homebrew Collection. Some are good, and some are… Really, really bad. Also, I have some unfinished projects in there that I should probably just restart or actually finish.

Soooooo

I started a small discord PM chat between me and the three people I've convinced to read RCBG (my girlfriend, a work friend, and a mutual friend of two of my friends)

I thought it would be fun to hypothesize about the math of the NTBV, because I'm a nerd who likes doing math in her free time.

Anyways, for some unexplicable reason, two of the people decided to measure

I got roped in cause they needed an example for how the math worked...

And my girlfriend told me that she's not going to be the only one who hasn't participated, so she's planning on putting in a score.

And now we have a leaderboard...

Help, I accidentally made Ranked Competitive Breast Growth real, what the fuck do I do!?

taliabhattwrites

PSA: The authors of RCBG do not recommend making RCBG real. This is a very bad idea.

Oh my god I thought your partner was doing a copypasta

jaimiofalltrades

No... this is the my horrid curse

I do something with the intent of nothing coming from it, either because it's funny or because I didn't think of the ramifications, and then it blows up out of proportion.

Like when I made a reblog on tpwrtrmnky's post about bandits, and Human Pet Guy posted something in my asks.

I still have that in my inbox. I don't know what to do with it.

Or how, years ago on r/DnDMemes, I made a post making fun of my brother's concept of using prestidigitation to make a nuclear bomb, and it became the only thing people talked about for, like, a week.

To this day, whenever it comes up (which isn't often, I've since stopped using that account and subreddit), I have to hop onto that account and explain that, no, prestidigitation nuke doesn't work. The point of the meme was to make fun of my brother for thinking it would.

I mean I have spent entirely too much time in the past doing math about boobage size. Things to consider other than raw volume include proportion to other loci of fat storage on the body (it's fatphobic of society, but we read big boobs + small thighs, for instance, as bigger boobs than big boobs + regular thighs), proportion to height and band size, distance from inner curve midpoint to inner curve midpoint (essentially cleavage width), and perkiness. Many things influence the perception of boobies.

jaimiofalltrades

Given the name, I’m pretty sure the NTBV (Net Total Breast Volume) is about physical mass, rather than perceived mass.

Like, I’m pretty sure that Emmy’s macrocalorie strat involves weight gain with the intent of getting some extra boob mass from that.

Something so disgusting about how the original Haitian zombie folklore is "the zombies are victims of a sorcerer who exploits them as slaves" and then modern zombie media is "the zombies just appear from an infection that turns Real People into a rampaging horde serving no other purpose than to threaten Civilization" like.

The Haitian zombie is very clearly metaphorical for the very real horrors of slavery, while the viral zombie is fundamentally about "what if there was a type of guy it was completely okay to kill and you got to exist in a survivalist fantasy as a Badass, also when infrastructure collapses it's every man for himself and altruism goes away"

And isn't it super interesting to think about that in the context of historical US-Haiti relations?

epicscizor

Also there's many of them and they spread and become innumerable hordes who invade your town but also you can kill hundreds of them because they're individually weak and stupid

tpwrtrmnky

A completely disorganized horde of weak, uncoordinated, literally feral humans that a Real Badass can take out by the thousands, but they somehow overwhelm all the regular people and cause the collapse of society. It's up to the Great Men to fix the problem. This totally isn't a fascist fever dream.

tpwrtrmnky

And this is what we get instead of stories that go something along the lines of an evil, powerful individual or group of individuals turning people into zombies, while a resistance movement fights back. Which would be rad as hell actually.

jaimiofalltrades

Weirdly enough… it’s one of the things that the fantasy genre, and especially TTRPG campaigns, tends to grasp a lot better.

Necromancy is considered an evil and forbidden magic that forces its victims to slave away in death at the command of an evil magic-user of some kind. This frequently accompanies villains who intend to commit genocide to take over countries, enslaving their victims and growing their ranks.

And the “resistance movement fights back?” That’s the main characters - a party of adventurers who have come to defeat the necromancers to stop their tyanny, genocide, and free the souls they’ve stolen.

Of course. There’s players who see this and go, “I want to do that,” and so the publishers make it available to players, and they gotta do some mental gymnastics to justify how a heroic player character is playing the slave driver archetype™, which leads to the evil of necromancy being watered down.

ulteriorunderstudy asked:

i've always imagined Rashmi as the tallest of our four, but in chapter 26 she's mentioned as being a few cm shorter than Katherine, who i remember being pretty short. and now i'm realizing that i might have no idea of their heights.

are there canon heights for the characters? if so, what are they?

my deepest apologies if this has been asked before.

tpwrtrmnky answered:

Yeah here’s the official table of heights

image
jaimiofalltrades

At 168~ish cm, I am shorter than all of them but Rupali and Desdemona.

Desdemona does not deserve that stature
tpwrtrmnky
tpwrtrmnky

The thing about height in Ranked Competitive Breast Growth is that some of the characters are the wrong height. For instance, Tahani is one of the tallest characters by far, but nobody is really cognizant of this unless they stand really close to her, because she has such immense Short Energy that the brain can't perceive how tall she is.

tpwrtrmnky

Katherine is actually a bit taller than Rashmi, as well. The posture compensates for this and makes them roughly the same height. Visually this registers as Rashmi standing slightly further away from you rather than Rashmi actually being the same height as her.

jaimiofalltrades

I lost some height on HRT, going from 5'8.5~ish (173~ish cm) to 5'6.5~ish (168~ish cm)

So, I’m curious. Will characters shrink to heights closer to their energy because of the HRT, or nah?

lowkey can rashmi, katherine, nichole and rupali form a polycule. and avoid all of this. the option is on the table PLEASE stop acting like this shit is completely exclusive. and desdemona isn't invited until she de-brainworms

jaimiofalltrades

Mona’s not gonna work. Beyond all her other issues, she seems to be straight (or maybe bi, but she so far has only really dated people who she perceives as men). And all the rest of them are lesbians.

I am genuinely sick of people saying AI art isn't art. I thought we had moved past trying to define things we don't like out of being art. Art isn't inherently good! Plenty of human artists make slop!

I also think it's part of this trend of people who don't like AI not thinking critically about anti-AI rhetoric. Anything is fair game if it targets the thing I don't like. Like how that transfem you're vaguely uncomfortable with is a pedophile. And I am too for making that comparison.

Okay!! Let’s think critically then.

I am genuinely sick of people saying AI art isn’t art.

It’s not, tho

I thought we had moved past trying to define things we don’t like out of being art. Art isn’t inherently good! Plenty of human artists make slop!

I think you’re fundamentally misunderstanding (at best - at worst you’re intentionally misconstruing) the point.

AI art is not art, and that is not because it doesn’t look good. It’s because it isn’t deliberate. Art is, fundamentally, a skill.

For example. Let’s take a look at vocaloids.

The way vocaloid (and similar, such as UTAU) software works is that there is a voice bank for a character. The composer independently places the syllables from the voice bank in order, pitch, tempo, and separation needed for the song. It’s effectively a synth board for a character voice. (Even VSynth, which has AI implementation, doesn’t use it for decision-making, but instead to tween moras, making it sound more natural. The AI is not fundamental, but supplemental in this regard)

Vocaloid music is deliberate. It is a skill.

Whenever this topic crops up, there’s always someone talking about photographs. But, photography is still deliberate. You hunt for the scene, you line it up, you frame it, and you take your shot.

Artistic photography isn’t a luck of the draw “I saw something so I snapped a quick photo,” it is a deliberate effort. It is a skill, and one you can improve at.

Compare this to how AI image generation is done.

You put a couple nouns and a slew of adjectives into a word processor, and it makes an image based on the average of images in its query with similar descriptions.

It is not deliberate. It is a semirandom algorithmic average.

You cannot direct the line or the colors. You can’t hunt for them. It is fundamentally not a skill, as you can’t do anything to improve upon it. The only hopes for improvement are system updates.

Anything is fair game if it targets the thing I don’t like.

This isn’t about “thing I don’t like,” this is about the fact that the plagiarism machine (and it is plagiarism in the way that claiming a tracing is an original) is being passed off as a tortured artist.

Like how that transfem you’re vaguely uncomfortable with is a pedophile.

This isn’t even comparable to the systemic societal oppression of trans women.

And I am too for making that comparison.

Holy self-victimising

Today (and by that, I mean yesterday because I am writing this at 2 am), I got quite a few compliments on my outfit. I didn’t take any pictures of it today, but I received all the pieces of it as a Christmas gift, and I did take pictures of it then.

So, y'know what?

Here’s the outfit.
