OKAY PEOPLE.

Just finished rewatching through the LEGO Ninjago Movie because I was bored and wanted to; and here are things that I picked out! (Excluding things that @thestoryteller-thedreamer has mentioned in prior posts in HER watch through.)

[Most are more towards the ending-ish since I started writing stuff down like over half-way through]

• In one of the scenes while the ninja + Garm are on the makeshift helicopter just after Lloyd does the speed boost in their flight then slows down, both Kai and Nya are grinning widely while watching Lloyd interact with his dad, Kai and Nya both swing their arms up and high five. (They’re proud of their little brother for making up with his dad.)
• In the old Garmadon residence, when Garm is trying to get away with the pieces, the ninja attack him and he practically kicked Nya in the face or something, making Kai go “Hey, that’s my sister!” and Nya instantly like helps boost him into a jump to where he does a cool spin to hit Garmadon. (I just enjoyed seeing the sibs sibbing…)
• I know the scene of Nya and Jay holding each other as the temple is falling apart was mentioned by @thestoryteller-thedreamer, but I just wanted to state how in on of the cuts to them, you can just see Nya holding Jay’s head close to herself; Movie!Jaya is legitimately only crumbs, but I love them so much- 🥺 Like, yeah, those are still my babies who are already married, psh, what are you talking about??
• Lloyd’s line “I believe in each of you! Nya, you can create water. Kai? You can make fire.” - I just can’t over the fact that he explicitly talks to his two siblings. (The surplus amount of RGB in TLNM makes up for the crumbing of Jaya.)
• While Lloyd is pumping up the other ninja and getting them into the feel to use their elements, AGAIN (just like in the series) Jay is the first to unlock his element/Spinjitzu.
• When the ninja reunite with Wu and they’re going over what happened and there’s just the ninja saying J:“Master Wu! We found our elemental powers!” C:“All because Lloyd wouldn’t give up on our training.” N:“Lloyd saved us!” and I just can’t get over how when Nya says that she wraps an arm around Lloyd and gives her little bro a hug where you can clearly tell she is conveying that she is proud of him.
• When they get back to the city and are going about using their elements, Jay uses an attack where he’s like channeling his lightning and shooting around before using his lightning to launch up and practically fly in the air to take down the ships; I just like to think that that scene kind of parallels his true potential in the series, where he can kind of fly/teleport.
• I think it’s a nice little detail that Koko and Nya end up opening a little school/classes for Garmadon’s Generals for them to kind of rehabilitate into life. (And Lloyd just being at the class with them, going to work with Mom & Big Sis.)
• Somewhere in the credits, towards the end, I think, in one of the images it shows some of Garmadon’s generals standing in a line and one of them is almost exactly early seasons/OG series Jay- I just found it funny, lol.
• [Remembering some others that I didn’t write down:] At one point when back in the city, Lloyd tells Kai “Kai, make a smokescreen!” and Kai says “Yeah, baby! F-f-fuego!” - nothing super significant about this, but I think this has in my mind created a hc when Movie!Kai + Movie!Nya are Hispanic and likely speak (at least some) Spanish and (mainly Kai) often use random Spanish words normally, like Kai used “fuego”.
• Earlier in the movie, after the first Garmadon attack seen and the ninja get back to their warehouse and Nya and Lloyd converse with N:“You also really pulled at my heartstrings, man. I felt… for you.” L:“With the- with the missiles?” N:“Nah, with the other- the other stuff.” my mind immediately went to, with that second line of Nya’s, talking about how when Lloyd was talking to Garmadon about the absentee parent things, I wondered if maybe Kai and Nya don’t have their parents in TLNM either, as her words kind of indicate not having a parent(s).

And I think that’s it. ^^ (I love this movie so much <3)
