critically stagnant spotlight campaigns for today (1/13.)
this list comprises the majority of my active gaza funds spotlight campaigns. i am actively spotlighting 16 campaigns. eight of them are critically stagnant, and three more are in danger of becoming critically stagnant. if nothing is done today, the number of critically stagnant campaigns will increase to nine.

- ghada and abdulrahman: 14 days since last donation
- mohammed ahmed: 12 days since last donation
- ahmed atallah: 12 days since last donation
- ibrahim abu raida: 11 days since last donation
- ghazi mekawi: 9 days since last donation
- dr. isam: 9 days since last donation
- nada muhaisen: 9 days since last donation
campaigns in danger of becoming critically stagnant:
- raghad's family: 6 days since last donation
- bessan khalaf: 5 days since last donation
- yahia hawajry: 4 days since last donation
all campaigns are vetted by the organizers of gaza funds. for full transparency, a list of campaigns is available to view on their site.
individual posts for these campaigns are generally ignored. i suspect they’re just background noise for most people at this point. please don’t ignore this, you have the opportunity to throw someone a lifeline and do some real good. even if you don’t have any money, a reblog is free and can help get more eyes on these campaigns. none of them are on tumblr, to my knowledge. nobody sees these campaigns unless people reblog posts about them or make their own posts.
these families cannot afford to wait! are they not worthy of support because they are not personally begging you for it? please do something! even if you don't think you can give anything, you have a platform, so use it!
thank you in advance for your consideration.
tags for reach under the cut (you can always let me know if you'd rather not be on this list, or if you want to be added to the list!)

Today’s campaign:
Yazan Ashraf Abu Safiya, from Vetted Gaza Evacuation Fundraiser List. (#180)
€4,261/€50,000 [9%]
btw in case ur wondering what its like using gfm for escape funds: i tried to send my friend money to flee her abusive household in algeria & apparently one of the organizers went MIA and abandoned the campaign + the site was banned in the other organizers country this month without her knowing so we tried for like an hour to fix the campaign from my end and now we have to like. give up entirely on it and switch to ko-fi.
this isn't a random fundraiser who contacted me. this is a friend i've known for years who works with me as an artist on my arpg site.
and she was never told that her gfm was no longer valid!! i spoke to her before donating!!
so many people are ENTIRELY reliant on other people, including complete strangers, in foreign countries to host their gfm to raise enough funds to escape + survive. she had friends and the platform still failed her.
It's also important to note that PBS-funded programs are trying their best to stay afloat despite this! If this news angers you and you have the financial ability to donate, PLEASE throw some money at your local public broadcasting station! If you don't have a local PBS, consider Oregon Public Broadcasting, which has been in continuous operation for over 100 years (first radio, then TV).
^ this site will show you your local station as well as stations that have lost 50% or more of their total revenue
the corporation for public broadcasting has officially shutdown as of today. please donate to your local pbs
Hope people help spread this around!

"We've been driving for two hours with a corpse in the back of my car. Your optimism is starting to just sound desperate."
