This pretty much sums up my feelings after the cesspool that was S5 Vol 2.
Same here...Don't touch Steve and Dustin Duffer brothers

Not enough people are talking about how masterfully Gaten Matarazzo is like, mimicking Joseph Quinn in his acting choices. He's slumping into chairs, he's swaggering into scenes, he's wearing a bunch of chunky rings and acting cool calm and collected all covering up a kid whose seen too much and is barely hanging on. I saw someone say that this version of Dustin is so heartbreaking because he was the last of the kids to really have that childhood innocence still. Seeing our always positive, always determined, always consistent Dustin in such a concerning place is really sad, and Gaten is killing it.

STRANGER THINGS 3.03 "The Case of the Missing Lifeguard" | 5.04 "Sorcerer"
holy shit I just watched the stranger things q&a from a couple days ago and listening to gaten talk about Dustin’s grief actually blew my mind. he is so articulate and clever I want to steal his brain.
some of the best quotes imo:
‘He kind of wanted to take that beating, because if he’s not in pain and he’s not miserable then he’s not grieving correctly’ I’m going to cry
‘He’s a child. He’s 16. And when you lose that young you don’t really have the tools around you to understand that it’s ok, that it doesn’t have to feel like shit all the time.’ Aaaaaa
‘A lot of times people who end up being kind of the rock for other people in their lives, when they need one they kind of just end up sinking, and they don’t really know how to receive help themselves’ oh my golly
What are your favorite characters and the ones you don't like about the harry potter universe?
My favorite ones are definitely Tom Riddle, Snape, and Harry! I’m in love with their complexity and their mindsets, and I admire them all individually. I’m impressed by the volume of power and knowledge Tom possessed, how he managed to achieve so much while starting with so little. I deeply respect the extent of Snape’s devotion and his willingness to sacrifice his life and his soul for correcting the mistake he made as a young man. I’m in awe in the face of Harry’s strength and ability to survive no matter that. The canon brushes off the abuse these three people experienced, but what’s implied is enough for me to feel deeply invested in them.
The ones I don’t like... James and Lily Potter. What kills me in every show and book is when the terrible actions of some characters are ignored, with them being idolized for whatever reason. Mary from ‘Sherlock’ and the Potters are two biggest examples. Only Snape and Harry seem horrified at James’ behavior. Everyone else seems to ignore the fact that James was a bully who engaged in sexual harassment, public humiliation of other people and his own friend, and who attempted to murder a student and faced no penalty for it. He’s remembered fondly and made out to be some perfect guy who simply misbehaved a bit in school.
Lily, as she was depicted, was whiny, shallow, and scared of responsibility. I found her extremely unpleasant as a child, with how she quickly blamed Snape for every problem that occured even if she was also involved in it herself, and as a teen, she wasn’t much better. Those words about her almost smiling during Snape’s humiliation left me speechless. The way she ended their friendship is also disgusting. Yes, he called her a slur. But the situation was abysmal and highly emotional, and the way Lily reacted was equally unacceptable - I’d understand if she just turned around and left, but she gleefully contributed to his already terrible humiliation by discussing his underwear, calling him the humiliating name his abusers came up with, and then she focused on flirting with Potter under the guise of arguing. Later, instead of talking to him seriously, explaining that the slur was the last drop and she couldn’t go on like this - and apologizing for her behavior, too, she made it look like it was a chore to be friends with him in the first place. Instead of thinking that maybe Snape joined the Death Eaters because he needs at least some protection from the likes of Potter, some acceptance and friendliness, she makes him into a villain who chooses to be evil because he’s evil. She wasn’t much of a friend either, was she? With how she tried to rebuke Snape for almost dying and claiming Potter saved him, not stopping even for a moment to think that she might not know everything about the situation.
I don’t have problems with flawed characters, but I have a problem when their flaws are just ignored as if they aren’t there. So James and Lily piss me off.
TRUTH...MIC DROP...
He was in love. Even going to events he thought he wouldn’t ever care about…

What is your favorite(s) Snamione fic? Or just recs for them in general. My favorite is Second Life by Lariope!
I love Second Life. Also really love Sin & Vice (mak5258) and Chasing the Sun (Loten). All three are comfort fics for me.
Chasing the Sun and Sin & Vice in particular explore a type of love that is beautiful in its rawness, depth of feeling and elegant simplicity.
I will re-read the fics again and at some stage compile a list of the quotes from these fics that affected me deeply.
There are so many incredible Snamione fics out there.
Here are some rec lists:
And these are non-exhaustive obviously but a great place to start for folks who don’t read this ship very much! Or for folks who want a refresher.
Thanks for the ask!

Nominated for Destroyer of Snaters AND Funniest Snape fan? Y’all are too kind 😭❤️❤️❤️
And I have done my duty to this purest of the pure Fandom...my severus Fandom
Bruh I hate people who glorify the mauraders and villainize Snape 💀
Like, if you hate Snape for bullying, hate the Mauraders too for bullying.
The Mauraders are basically those kids who peaked in highschool/college.
I had the urge to write this cuz I just saw a edit about how Remus is better because he doesn't traumatize children and the fact that Neville's boggart is Snape.
Like, I feel bad for Neville, but glorifying a person who, in maximum, bullied someone too, in minimum was just a bystander, is worse.
Don't get me wrong, my favourite Maurader is Remus all the way, but I don't put him on a pedestal.
I like Snape too, but I don't justify his bullying of children. In fact, I dislike that part of him
The Harry Potter fandom is really nasty 💀 Not everyone though
