we should globally ban the introduction of more powerful computer hardware for 10-20 years, not as an AI safety thing (though we could frame it as that), but to force programmers to optimize their shit better
I reblogged this like 9 times kinda jokingly, but software should be able to run on older and less powerful hardware, and consume less power on newer hardware. Like, this is a real problem imo

I completely agree with this but I do need you to understand that the image above is 32 times the size of the lunar mission’s memory
This is what the image looked like compressed to 4 kb
nonono you cant do this to me dont follow me you'll make me stop posting about how much i want to suffocate under the stinky, sweaty, ditry hooves of the great and powerful trixie and- wait, i haven't posted about that yet? well. uh, nevermind, u can keep following me, whatever. i dont deserve a say if im not actually being genuine all the time and posting about the great and powerful trixies pitstench or hoofsweat, yeah. sorry everypony.
Why the apologies? The Great and Powerful Trixie deserves to be worshipped
I feel like headpats as a part of trans petgirl culture have really died down. Bordering on a forgotten art. You used to hear about trans girls begging for headpats, they’d do anything for headpats, put your life on the line for a head pat. Now you barely hear about head pats at all. What a shame. What a shame…
Reblog if you want headpats or to give me headpats
both!
Petpetpetpetpetpet!!!
Haven't seen anyone talking about it here, but vocal transfeminist and writer Tara Knight has been sent a threat from the fbi insisting that she stop speaking about "radical gender ideology" and get rid of the past 3 years of her work.
A black trans woman is getting personally threatened by the fbi for being a transfeminist. What the fuck. Hopefully this gets more reach than my usual posts so that people who are able to can support her.
The only reason someone would have to be against legalizing sex work is hating the workers.
If you are in favour, you obviously would be pro legalization.
If you are against for any other reason that "I hate the (mostly) women who work there", you would be in favour of legalizing it as a way to reduce abuse in the industry, reduce police violence upon vulnerable women, improve access to healthcare, better tools to fight against human trafficking... Hell, even if just to get "tax money", the only reason to criminalize it is so sex workers suffer.
Because you have to be very naive to believe criminalization would ever get rid of sex work even if you for some reason think that's the goal.
and if I were to say that the egg prime directive is popular because people view queerness as a playground club that you can only get into by whispering the super secret password to each other between giggles in the back of the classroom, and not an organization of marginalized groups for political, social, and economic liberation...
and if i were to say that the egg prime directive is popular because of the hyper-individualized understanding of queerness as a 'personal journey' of 'self-understanding' that eventuates an aesthetic and socially acceptable hobby like pottery rather than a material relation to the hegemonic forces imposing cisheterosexuality on us all...
and if I were to say the egg prime directive is popular because cis people think being a trans woman is bad and not something you should ever consider as a good thing even if it's good for you, you're a tranny already, but this "cis" "man" is not so you should not corrupt "him"
and if i were to tell you that the egg prime directive is popular because even in the queer community trans women are treated with derision and exoticised as taboo sexual objects, so trying to let an egg know she might be trans is an act that, in the eyes of the transmisogynist, unpersons someone they currently see the humanity in.
drag shows are a shamelessly transmisogynistic endeavor where people laugh at people who dress up and pretend to be trannies I'm so tired of having to pretend like there's nuance here
Thousands of notes and still no counterpoints found beyond "it's queer history it's important" or "drag queens are trans sometimes" to the fact that "Look at me I look like an exaggerated woman but actually I am/was a man!" underpins damn near every drag queens show whether it's popular US TV or the shitass queer bars and events near me. I'm sure that drag that doesn't do this exists and has existed forever but pretending a shitload of drag even outside of crap like drag race isn't this is nonsense.
