The first story with be a drabble one shot for Bang Chan :) It will be posted Monday!

I already have it written, along with one for Jeongin. I plan to write more tomorrow!!

My plan is to post them every Monday, though we’ll see if I end up posting oneshots twice during the week! I’m just not exactly 100% as of yet!

hey!! i hope you don’t mind that i’m answering this just through askbox instead of making a full fledge oneshot, mainly because this was sort of answered in the actual series!! but im happy to delve into more detail :)

what happens is specifically mentioned and alluded to in chapter five ’the moment it changed’ (flashback)! basically, jisung and reader were really close from the moment they both joined jype as trainees. reader understood jisung in a way no one else ever had (before chan and the rest ofc!) and jisung made reader happier than she’d been in a long time.

they were like two peas in a pod, attached at the hip. through jisung, reader met chan and eventually changbin and grew close to them - especially chan who was like an older brother figure for her (bcs come on, it’s chan).

everything with stray kids and the survival show happens and then, in chapter five, it shows how jisung reached out to reader, asking to see her. of course, reader oblidged and they go to their special spot. after finding out the news and reader showing her excitement and pride for jisung, he kisses her. reader, of course, kisses him back.

they end up confessing their feelings for one another, and even though jisung tells her it’ll be okay, reader expresses her nervousness given that jisung is about to debut in a band while she’ll still be a trainee. they head back to the dorms hand in hand, both feeling elighted about their revealed feelings.

then, it’s revealed at the end of the chapter that jisung pretends like nothing happened the next day. he pretends like they didn’t kiss, didn’t confess their feelings. he completely disregards her.

in chapter six ’a long over due apology’, (present time) jisung explains more in detail what happened. he explains why he did what he did and apologizes - i won’t delve into that since it’s all in the chapter.

but essentially, jisung pretending nothing happened turned into him avoiding reader all together. he stopped answering texts, he ignored her calls, he avoided her (which wasn’t hard to do since stray kids had debuted and he was busy). he completely ghosted her.

reader was, understandably, heartbroken and most importantly, hurt. jisung had all but betrayed the trust she had in him. he’d promised her it’d be okay only to prove exactly the opposite.

this leads to reader dodging and ignoring chan and changbin. she didn’t want to, but she knew they were in a group together with jisung and didn’t want to get in the way of their success. she figures its best just to take herself out of their lives, especially since reader believes jisung wants nothing to do with her.

of course, chan, on the other side, is baffled and confused. when reader starts ignoring him, he demands answers from jisung who, after much begging and harrassment from chan, tells him the truth. tells him what happened and what he did.

chan is, reasonably, mad. he cares for jisung, of course, but he also recognizes how cruel what jisung had done to reader is. through the years where reader and jisung don’t talk, chan continuously tries to convince jisung to reach out to reader, to apologize, explain what happened, etc.

which then, obviously, leads into the whole plot of ’the ache of our past’!
