Least Bittern (Ixobrychus exilis). They do this fairly often, straddle reeds as a spot and catch fish and insects without having to fly.
Wikipedia ought to have a way to nominate certain passages as being of special aesthetic or even simply nostalgic importance, and thus immune from being deleted from the page irrespective of encyclopedic merit.
