recently while poking around a little on reddit (mistake), i discovered a post on a subreddit called something along the lines of 'leftwingmen' discussing frustration with progressive people refusing to entertain misandry as a concept. this was about as hilarious and pathetic as you would expect, but the top comment suggested using 'trans*ndrophobia' as a foot in the door to get people to admit to the existence of misandry and leverage from there. it is unsurprising and we have known this for some time, but it is still unsettling to see tboy gamergate being uplifted by the same demographic who gave us the original.
@thebrazilianfan hi. we have to censor words like this on original posts on Tumblr because the people who are apart of the groups they pertain to regularly search the terms to harass vulnerable & marginalized users en masse.
Censoring words like terf, truscum, etc has been regular practice since Tumblr expanded its search in like 2014. It is a safety requirement. Furthermore, op is not ~trying to make you aware~ of transandrophobia. They are posting on their personal blog, likely for their followers who all know what it is already. People do not just hit a big giant 'go viral' button on here to get notes.
This reply reeks of ignorance and you could have kept it to yourself. No, OP does not need to risk being sent death threats and slurs from transmisogynynists just because you feel entitled to them educating you & are too lazy to check the notes / lurk moar / use a search engine.

I do not have time to check the blogs of every single person I reblog from and honestly I don't appreciate the insinuation that I would intentionally degender someone when the entire rest of my reblog could not more clearly be signalling the opposite.

okay so let me get this straight. you have time to write a 3 paragraph response to some tags on mutationgirl's post but it would strain your allotted post-writing time budget TOO FAR to open her bio before they/themming her twice in said 3 paragraph post? get fucking real. what is the point of pronouns in bio if not for this exact scenario?
and furthermore nothing about the post where you degender mutationgirl suggested to me that degendering isn't something that you would do. if you want to write posts that suggest you wouldn't degender people you should probably start with not degendering people in your posts. and doubling down with this lazy "uhhhh i dont have time to [task that takes mere seconds] Every Time i write out a multi-paragraph post" shit instead of just apologizing, just like every other person who gets called out for degendering definitely doesn't help your case either.
like. knowing the words transmisogyny and degendering doesnt make you like immune to criticism for these things you have to actually not do them & not get upset when someone points out you did, intentionally or not
