After 5 ish days of sitting with this new volume, I must admit that it’s pretty saddening. Truth be told, as telling the truth is the major theme this season, my hope has dropped. However! It is not eradicated.

Here’s my video with my thoughts, and my theory is that Max might be able to save us. Max and Will had a really sweet reunion that I think was emphasized so that they work together in the finale. Though Max is staying behind, I think that Will is either going to either return to The Squawk or they’ll somehow communicate across Walkies or something, and Max could remind Will to focus on that one thing that can save him, the one hope that he clings to to escape his own Camazotz if he needs to venture into Henry’s mind again. He’s going right into the hive mind center, after all. His connection is going to be powerful.

And we got a huge revelation this volume. Once Max returned to her body, she said, “I just needed you,” referring to Lucas. So since we’ve established that music isn’t necessarily what saved Max, what do we think might happen, now?

What, or should I say, who is going to be Will’s center?
