A bunch of Vox faces I drew for my laptop background. Feel free to use them for yourselves
completely forgot to share this, but here is my Vox cosplay!!!
The picture quality isn't the best, and my bowtie isn't sitting right, but I don't have another image rn, so, yeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
One thing that's bothered me for a while is that people ignore how shitty the bedroom scene in episode 4 was for Alastor?? Like, the guy was NOT doing good. Sure, he immediately started insulting Vox and being cocky as ever but that felt really reckless to me, like an almost desperate try to regain autonomy. I've also seen loads of people say that Al agreed to the deal with Vox bc he knew that he wouldn't do anything to bad, and I agree with that! But I also believe that Vox broke that trust with this whole scene.
Also
he's ace not braindead and he watched Vox and Val do the deed right before this, he knows the implications
sooooooo Alastor analysis from the barscene (I actually also have a Vox version of that, but it's on my laptop, so I can't access it rn, fuck me ig)
Anyways. As to why Alastor behaved and reacted like that :)
He was drunk, Mimzy mentions that he becomes much more relaxed when alcohol is at play, so that's one factor, second factor is, he's comfortable and secure, even if he won't admit it to himself "like that" he likes Vox, enjoys his presence, and isn't threatened by him, not just in general because he's weaker then him, and there's no plausible way for this to work, but he also subconciously trusts him, this is a tradition, something they do all the time, which adds another layer of calmness and normalness to the situation.
So when Vox comes around the corner with his offer all that crashes down on him, he suddenly becomes hyper aware that he trusts Vox and Vox trusts him and that he enjoyed this, that he got comfortable and even worse vulnerable infront of somwone else to the extent that they recognized the fact that he liked having them around, and thought that he would want to tie himself to them like that. It's terrifying. If you wanna go one step further, Alastor clearly didn't recognize any of Vox's lovey dovey behavior or maybe he even ignored it away, (operating from an AroAce perspective yayyyyyyyy) so that's another thing that he suddenly realises, we see that Vox is very sexually active, and that Alastor is very sex repulsed, so, since he's in an emotionally bad state already, 'this guy who does a lot of the thing I find incredibly gross with people who he calls his partners wants to be partners with me' probably makes it MUCH worse (totally not speaking from experience ehheheheheakksbdd yeah, no never happened to me at all)
So he does the only logical thing, and beats down Vox's love, affection and trust, aswell as his own feelings in one fell swoop, wow! Productive!!!
*Drops oc art and runs*
Minimal lore you need to know, the 2 black haired ones are siblings, Vassily is 19 and Grusha is 17, the other girl is Èmilie, Grusha and Èmilie are in lesbians, Èmilie and Vassily don't like each other very much, Grusha and Vassily used to be really close but aren't anymore :)
