KARKAT'S KIN HELP.

@karkatskinhelp

IT/HE/CLICK/CRAB, 18. REQUESTS ARE OPEN.

One of the first men I had a real crush on was this trans guy named Max.

Max was… interesting. Ended up trying to get me to send him “something to help him jerk off” often told me stories of his “crazy ex” that would fuck dogs and shit to expose me to his fetishes. Got off on the fact he was cheating on his girlfriend for some internet stranger. Yet I clung to him like a lifeline because he was the only other trans person I knew and I idolized him. I defended him because I was afraid of being vulnerable and alone as a trans boy in bumfuck Utah. And it bit me in the ass, it really did.

Never excuse red flag behaviors because the person exhibiting them is part of your minority group. As trans people we can be more vulnerable to manipulation and grooming from both our cis peers and trans siblings because all it takes is a few affirmations to get us on board.

Remember that your group is bigger than you think. If you cut off one person, it’s not like you’re going to be alone. And, I know this is crazy, not all cis people hate our guts and they can protect and support you, too.

So yeah. This is your sign to reevaluate why you keep some people close.

Hey, folks. Do me a favor.

When you circulate the frustrating, scary news about the Trump administration’s ongoing attacks on the manufacturers of chest binders, include a link or two to charities that provide free chest binders for those who cannot afford them or cannot safely purchase them.

News about governmental attempts to restrict trans people’s autonomy has a tendency to hit the most vulnerable members of our community hard. Pairing that news with options for self-determination is protective.

Two of my favorite free binder charities are Point of Pride and the Brother 2 Brother Binder Program.

SUICIDE POSTPONED! YOU GUYS ARE SO NICE TO ME, I LOVE YOU ALL. /P

SO I JUST TRIED TO MAKE MY OWN SPRITE EDIT BUT I DONT LIKE HOW IT TURNED OUT...
COULD I MAYBE REQUEST A CHUBBY KARKAT TALKSPRITE WITH SLIGHTLY EMO HAIR AND REDDISH FRECKLES? ANY MONOCHROME EMO/PUNK ACCESSORIES WOULD BE COOL TOO IF THATS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK. FEEL FREE TO HAVE FUN WITH THIS ONE.
THANKS.
DEFINITELY NOT @arsenicaquariums
HEY ANON WHO IS CERTAINLY NOT ARSENICAQUARIUMS, IT’S POSTED! THE LINK ISN’T WORKING AT THE MOMENT, BUT I’LL TRY TO FIX IT.

There is no systemic oppression aimed at men. There are men who are oppressed, but they are not oppressed for being men. They're oppressed for being trans, for being black, for being gay, but they are never oppressed for being men. Misandry is not a thing.

Edit: Because you goddamn ghouls can't figure out you're reblogging from a nonbinary lesbian, terfs can fuck right off. Your ideology is poison and makes about as much sense as the world sitting on a turtle.

"actually men are just as oppressed by woman. we're treated exactly as equals. all men are oppressed by [made up word] which is a parallel to misogyny. every time theres a woman who fears for her life because she was raped, there is an equally oppressed man who feels a little bit bad because a woman was afraid of him.

and if you dont accept this delusion i believe in, i refuse to respect you as a person."

HEY, FOR THE PEOPLE WHO SENT IN PQ REQUESTS, I PROMISE I AM WORKING ON THEM! SOMETIMES YOU GUYS JUST SEND IN SORTA COMPLICATED REQUESTS (NO OFFENSE, THE MORE SPECIFIC THE BETTER!) SO IT TAKES LONGER FOR THEM TO GET DONE. SORRY FOR THE LONG WAITS REGARDLESS!

take that will get people upset at me number 3283940184: personally think we should leave fictionkin stuff out of conversations about analysis of the source material. much love, your kintype doesn't actually mean anything about your skills for analysis of a fictional character. your kintype is a real, nuanced being. your source is a fictional character that was written by someone to represent certain themes within a story, to be a plot device to move certain events along. even if ur not canon divergent in the slightest you should not be using your kintype as a source when discussing media analysis.
