It should have been like this in the movie. Thank the heavens for fanart and fanfic. What the heck did the producers think “so after” means?

I was so surprised to see that zero ships from the THG fandom made it on top 100 ships on ao3 for 2025.

yeah, i just looked at ao3 and did a rough estimate. everlark’s ao3 tag has about 1200 fics, give or take, that were published last year (excluding any that were published prior but update in 2025). the lowest number of new fics for a ship on the top 100 list is almost 1500, so everlark would need like 300 more written in the next year to make the list for 2026.

we’re genuinely losing the plot with people getting upset about fmcs being petite.

don’t get me wrong—it’s 100% deserved in many cases. fatphobia in mainstream media and the «itty bitty ‘i’m not like other girls’ girlypop fmc with a tiny waist (yet somehow curvy with a massive rack) who is super frail but for some reason is able to become a master warrior in the span of a few months» trope is overused and undercriticised.

BUT

katniss everdeen has never and will never fall under that category. her thinness is due to the fact that she’s lived most of her life on the brink of starvation. her «naturally small» stature (a physical description repeated throughout the series) is portrayed realistically in providing both hindrances and advantages. she is strong, yes, but she’s also canonically a small person and i’m so sick of people going to bat to say that she’s not because they’re mistaking petiteness for weakness.

while we’re at it, her being well-fed is simply NOT true. having more to eat in comparison to her peers in the seam who are literally starving to death does not mean that she actually had enough to eat. she didn’t. she ate more than her neighbours and had access to a healthier diet, but that doesn’t mean it was enough.

even peeta and delly—who actually did have enough—rarely had access to fresh food. food insecurity is a very real problem across the district. that’s. the. point.

the thing about saying everlark aren't big on pda post mockingjay when they're properly together is all well and good but idk if it's the truth.

sure, they aren't making out like they were on the victory tour, but these two were walking hand in hand down the street when they weren't together, no one was watching them and cameras weren't around.

I think their quietly pda, pda in a way that they think no one is watching but actually everyone has noticed and they just respect them too much to say anything about it plus every one in 12 would think it's sweet

I said it before but I can’t find my post 😭 but I don’t think they’re making love on the sidewalk but never in canon did Katniss or Peeta care who was watching them when they held hands or cuddled or kissed, even when there was no cameras to play to or show to put on. So I highly doubt they would care post mockingjay either 😂.

When Bella finds out she’s pregnant in BD, she mentions that her last period was 16 days before the wedding (the wedding took place on August 13th 2006) and that at the time of her phonecall with Carlisle (which was 17 days after the wedding) she was 5 days late. She also mentions that her period is never late.

This means that her cycle is 28 days exactly (16+17-5) and that her last period began on July 28th 2006. That was also her last period EVER btw because then she got pregnant and then was immediately changed.

So I counted backwards to every single one of Bella’s periods, from her last one before she changed, to the first one after she moved to Forks. The results:

what I love most about this is it implies a lot of the events of the series were caused by Bella being on her period 😭

The Capitol got its wedding. The rebellion got its war. What’s left is two kids in Victor's Village who don't realize how real their marriage is.

Katniss thinks she's not meant to be a wife. Peeta doesn't believe he's truly a husband. Haymitch just wants them to stop drinking his liquor and talk to each other.
