I hate anti-vaxers now. Actively loathe them. There was a time where I had a modicum of empathy and understanding for people being distrustful of the medical establishment, even though every study has shown that vaccines are safe and effective and beneficial, I know some wounds are hard to heal. Now? If you’re seeing the people regurgitating anti-vaccine misinformation and witnessing their agendas, reading the news reports of diseases that were nearly eradicated coming back to kill children again, hearing the distress and fear from medical professionals and parents of immunocompromised children and still saying “Hmm. Fuck you.” and deciding not to vaccinate your children and yourself, there is no excuse for you. You’d like to see me dead. I’m not tiptoeing around you. You’re a horrible person and a terrible parent.

However, Mohammed cannot walk due to a serious leg injury, leaving him unable to flee on his own. He urgently needs €2,500 to hire a truck to take him to safety.

Donations have been very slow for Mohammed and his family, and what money they had raised up until now has gone to purchasing the food and medicine they required to stay alive. Keep Hope Alive is a project that connects multiple families in need in Gaza with a pool of donated funds. Anybody can donate through their Chuffed fundraiser. Funds are then evenly divided on a weekly basis between all 7 of the families that the project works to sustain.

The project was born from the observation that Palestinians are made to share intimate details of suffering in order to be afforded help. Its operations are designed around the following principles:
