Jax is the name of the purple rabbit character found in the web show The Amazing Digital Circus by Gooseworx. The character, voiced by Michael Korvich who previously voiced the character Angel Dust in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, quickly became a fan favorite for his demeanor and mannerisms being similar to Angel. Following the release of the pilot episode, fan art of Jax increased and began to spread online.

Origin

Jax was first introduced in a short teaser video posted to X by the creator, @Glitch_prod^[1] on July 3rd, 2023. In this teaser, Jax doesn't have any voiced lines but showcases his personality through his tripping of the character Ragatha. The teaser, which received over 24,000 likes in four months, became used as the basis for Fan Art for the following months until the official trailer dropped (shown below).

On September 22nd, 2023, the official trailer for The Amazing Digital Circus was shown on the Glitch YouTube channel^[2]. In the trailer, Jax is seen and heard multiple times, giving the community a sense of his character traits and mannerisms, which quickly showed up in fan art made after the trailer (shown below).

Spread

Following the release of the pilot episode on October 13th, 2023, the character immediately received a spike in popularity, with many fan edits being made of the character. On October 14th, 2023, the YouTube channel NeonFurcuz^[3] created an edit of the pilot which only featured Jax's scenes, uploading it under the title 'Jax being my favorite character in The Amazing Digital Circus for 5 minutes" and getting over 255,000 views in two weeks (shown below).

On October 14th, the TikTokers @Divin3^[4] and @Dxlla^[5] uploaded fan edits of Jax while labeling him as the newest Tumblr Sexyman character. The edits feature heavy jump cuts between his different scenes, with their captions calling for more fans to Simp for the character (shown below).
