Hey, hey! Happy Saturday!
Kyle here, connecting in from my desk in Los Angeles, where I’m loving this (for us) fall weather, almost as much as I’m dreading this Bears Vikings game tomorrow.
It’s been a big few weeks since I got back from New York and Australia. A lot of catch up on projects, a lot of planning for our big Radiant Black Rebuild that kicks off in February, which is the first stage of what we’re viewing as a bit of a Massive-Verse refresh.
In addition to the book getting back on a monthly schedule, we’re designing February’s Radiant Black #31 to be a big jumping on point. It’s the start of a new era for the series and for Marshall. Here’s what I wrote about it in last week’s newsletter:
Marshall enters a new era as the permanent RB, coming out of the Catalyst War and the fan vote. And, having seen a timeline where everything went wrong, he’s determined to make the most of his second chance and become a hero that people can be proud of.
He’s moved to the city, found an apartment and a roommate and is working to help Chicago recover from the robot invasion—but he’s not the only player coming out of the war with something to prove. As futuristic weapons and blame spread faster than recovery efforts, Marshall is faced with enemies old and new all looking to make a name for themselves in this divided Chicago.
Marshall may want to level up, but first he’ll need to keep the bottom from falling out.
The war is over. Radiant Black Rebuild starts here.
Then in March, a big issue of Rogue Sun hits stands— Rogue Sun #25, which is a big, seminal issue for the series. It’s also designed to as a jumping on point (see a trend?).
We’ve got some big cover reveals for this one, which I’m going to hold off on sharing for just a little bit longer. There’s something being put together in the press about February and what it’s going to kick off for the Massive-Verse as we enter our fourth year.
But before we get to 2025, we’ve still got two of my favorite months of the year to wrap up. And this year, we’re planning for the holidays right. Something we’ve wanted to do for a while now, Black Friday is coming to Black Market Narrative and on Friday, November 29 we’re going to be kicking off off our Black(light) Friday sale at the storefront. The highlights:
-30% off the Blacklight issues of Radiant Black (#10 and #24, including the BMN variant editions)
-Every order comes with a free Radiant Blacklight Keychain
The sale will run until Monday, December 2nd… which will lead into our next holidays special. Something catered for the gift buying department.
Okay, we’ve got some fun things to show today, plus our limited NO/ONE Classified Edition has officially dropped! But first, a few things to catch up on!
NO/ONE: Under The Helmet, A Live Behind-The-Scenes Conversation
Last Monday, Michael and I hosted a really fun livestream, hopefully the first of several for this project, with a number of cast members from the WHO IS NO/ONE audio series, timed to this past week’s release of NO/ONE vol. 1. The whole conversation is right here— it’s a blast, with some incredibly talented artists talking about how they create characters and acting in different mediums. Plus, what it was about NO/ONE that was so appealing to them.
I’ll be cutting up clips from the livestream and starting to get them posted on social media over the coming weeks, along with some other videos that will be designed to showcase some of the different multimedia things we did in the series.
We really want to help more people find the book— the finished volume really showcases how unique the whole NO/ONE story experience is, which is only going to get more immersive as we make the movie (more news on that in the coming weeks).
And for an initial inside look at the process of making some of these outside-the-box pieces, we also dropped our NO/ONE Classified Edition on the stream, which features— among other things— an additional 12 page booklet with all sorts of behind the scenes pieces.
🚨NO/ONE Classified Edition drop!🚨
The Classified Edition, priced at $39.99, comes with a signed and numbered bookplate— by myself and Brian Buccellato— is limited to 100 copies (sans APs), and features an exclusive cover by Goni Montes, designed by Michael with a spot gloss effect in place of the title.
The Classified Edition also comes with an additional 12 page book that gives a look at some of the behind the scenes on the project, including photos, breakdowns, and commentary.
We initially dropped it on the livestream and we’ve sold over half of the 100 editions. Now’s your best chance to grab your copy!
And if you miss out on the Classified Edition, we also have the standard edition right here:
Moon Man
This is a big week for Moon Man. Volume one is hitting stores on Wednesday and if you missed the photos in the last newsletter, it really turned out striking.
The book is printed with spot gloss and a special fifth ink on the cover, to get that insanely vibrant orange. And it is, in fact, vibrant.
This goes on sale in comic stores on November 27 and hits book stores December 10th.
And just in time for volume one to hit stores, we’re putting the finishing touches on Moon Man #6, which kicks off our next arc.
NEW STORY ARC
There are seven minutes of missing footage in the moon mission that gave Ramon Townsend his powers. The scientists say it was "cosmic interference." It wasn’t.
FEDERICO BERTONI (THE SINGULARITY, Monomyth) joins the team for a two-part story that reveals the secret truths of MOON MAN!
This issue features the incredible Federico Bertoni joining and the pages are looking beyond excellent.
We have our main cover by Federico as well as these killer B and C covers by Stefano Simeone and Vincenzo Sansone with Igor Monti.
This issue takes some crazy narrative and formalist swings as we dive into the mission that went wrong and how Ramon got on this path of powers.
Links right here for volume one and issue 6 are right here!
Rogue Sun #24
Now before we get to our big issue 25 jumping on point, Rogue Sun #24 closes out its arc strong, and sets the stage for Aurie’s Rogue Sun debut in 25.
END OF STORY ARC. As supernatural forces plot against them, Rogue Sun must finally take on the Philistine and Divinity is faced with an unexpected, life-altering decision.
This issue is on FOC on Monday. Here’s an early look!
Radiant Black: The Audiobook Update
Just a quick update about Radiant Black: The Audiobook, I know I said we were targeting this fall for volume one, but it looks like it’s going to be early next year instead. We want to get it right and we’re also working on building out the next era of the book and banking issues before our February return.
That said, still crazy excited for this one— the script is looking great and we’ve added a few more cast members— excited to announce those in the coming months!
Okay, that’s going to do it for me today!
If you’re in the LA area, I’ll be doing a signing at Golden Apple today from 3-4pm, in celebration of their 40th anniversary. I’m going to have signed editions of Moon Man vol. 1 and NO/ONE The Complete Series.
Hope to see some of you there!

Ordered a copy of NO/ONE. Psyched to have it all in one edition and look forward to reading/listening. Between this and The Singularity, you're creating some very cool reading experiences. I appreciate how you continue to try new things that increase the value and depth of a comic. I can't imagine how much work goes into all this.
