a biome so unique in south africa that it’s earned an entirely new biome classification for itself. so many plants are endemic to this area, and ofc it’s under threat of extinction.

It’s a wonderful place! I had the privilege of visiting the fynbos last year and it was as amazing as these photos show and more!

Cemeteries are not wastes of space. Historical cemeteries ESPECIALLY are not wastes of space. I know this is a joke but one billion oysters is pretty similar to reported conditions upon first european colonization of what is now NYC. Basically every surface that was even partially submerged had an oyster on it! That’s why people ate so much of them!

Not to mention how wonderful oysters are for water filtration and as a food source for local ecosystems and people when properly maintained… I support 1 billion oysters to feed the nonbinary hypercommune.
