I don't have many items left to make for the music playlist. I think I won't post the stages anymore, because it remains to do the final editing and small animations. I hope my computer doesn't explode.

Two page comic I made for @doctorassistedzine
A story about a family of three: a father, a child, and their younger sibling.
I thought this kind of concept would be interesting to explore, heavily inspired by the Gutterman's poem. The idea centers on a Gutterman becoming acquainted with an orphaned teen on the battlefield who is looking for their father, a war prisoner. The twist is that, this Gutterman is being fueled by the body of that child's father, so all its feelings and possessiveness over the child is due to the subconscious influence of the father, trying to protect his child. This becomes a source of conflict for the Gutterman, who becomes unsure of what feelings are its own, and feels guilt that it has basically taken away this child's "mother" for it to be given life. This can be akin to the trope where a child is blamed by their family for "taking away their mother's life".
I absolutely love this concept!!!

[Image description: A three-page comic featuring Heavy and Medic from Team Fortress 2, rendered in a clean, greyscale style.
[Page one features a close-up of Heavy adjusting a bolt on the hinge of Medic's medigun, inset to a medium wide shot of Heavy seated at a table with Medic standing beside him on his left (the viewer's right of the frame). Heavy is repairing the medigun and explaining the mechanical issue that led to this. The panel is framed from behind Medic's left shoulder for a ¾ angle.
Heavy: Here. See? It moves now. Trigger was stuck because hinges lacked proper lubrication. Doctor needs to remember to apply it after every battle.
[Page two includes two insets, both close-ups of Heavy; the first inset shows him with a stern, slightly irritated expression. In the second inset, he looks surprised or off-guard.
Heavy, inset one: You can break her for being too rough and Dorothea hates it when you press trigger too hard. Heavy, inset two: Is dangerous if weapon stops working in battl– Medic, off-panel: –Who is Dorothea?
[The main panel continues the medium wide shot, now framed at a head-on angle with Heavy at the left of the frame and Medic on the right, still close by his side. Heavy looks disgruntled while he works on the medigun. Medic looks intrigued by the conversation, his right hand lifted to his chin in a contemplative gesture while he gives Heavy a small smile. His left arm is tucked behind his back.
Heavy: ... Medic: –You just said "Dorothea hates it" Heavy: I did.
[Page three has a large, medium close shot at the same head-on angle for panel one. Heavy appears to be continuing the conversation only begrudgingly. Medic looks amused; his right hand is lowered to his chest. [In panel two, Heavy lurches toward Medic and points at him with his left hand, index finger jabbing at Medic's chest. Medic has both hands raised disarmingly in an apologetic gesture.
Medic: –Is that what you call my Medigun? Heavy: Yes. Is her name. Medic: –Ow. So you think she is a gift of God? That's sweet– Heavy: Don't change topic! Doctor has been bad owner and neglegted (sic) gun for too long. Medic: – What? Neglect!? Did she call it that? – Oh! Who would have tought (sic) my own bolts and blood would turn against me!! Heavy: Heavy is serious!
[After the artist's blurb below the comic are screenshots from tweets discussing the naming of the mercenaries' weapons, by user Ginger 🌻 (open comms) (@ JohnnysStars), date unknown.]
Heavy has secretly assigned a name to the other mercs weapons, he likes talking to them whenever he has to do maintenance he WILL roast the weapon's owner if he sees they have done a poor job at taking care of them, you better keep them on good shape or he is scolding you once he is done Scattergun: Lisa Rocket launcher: Donna Flamethrower: Tammy Sticky launcher: Wilma Medigun: Dorothea Sniper Rifle: Millie Revolver: Cosette

I absolutely love the idea of Heavy naming the other mercs guns! It’s adorable!
