Short Story

Rechastaad Rogue

Michael Staffer was the owner of a small casino on the edge of Rechastaad. Not a particularly honorable occupation. Most do it for the money or the protection of local gangs. Michael had neither.

The city itself isn't much concerned with local businesses. Its government is moreso concerned with giving the Graber Corporation grounds for mining - pretty much wherever they please and people can't pay the extornionate amounts of money to ward off the demolitioners.

This at first drove people to the entertainment industry, as it promised a chance on large returns. But sooner or later, they couldn't afford to wager their chances anymore. Now, only the miners come to watch the dancers.

Michael decided long ago, that he would leave the town as soon as he had saved up the money. But running a business is a wager aswell and luck had ran out in Rechastaad.

i saw someone say nobody needs to know what a .txt file is anymore. what the fuck is the world coming to

unironically i think we need to bring back computer labs because APPARENTLY some people WERENT taught basic computer literacy and internet safety in school

things about computers/the internet i think kids should be formally taught in schools because theyre important to know and the amount of soon to be grown adults i know who know NOTHING about any of these is quite frankly almost all of them (and resources to learn if you dont know these things, because its never to late to get better with computers)

as an additional note: things i think everyone should know on computers and the internet but schools may bit hesitant to teach about for whatever moral/legal standards schools pretend to operate on

ok one last addition! if you want to take it one level higher, i think learning the very basics of at least one programming language is good for people. it makes computers less scary and it makes you feel very cool, and a lot of people get discouraged about it because it seems overly complicated and hard to learn outside a formal classroom setting, so heres some resources for learning the very basics of python (because i consider it the easiest language to learn and knowing one language will make it easier to learn others)

We are sharing some of our favourite gifs each day this month for Antifa International’s fifth anniversary. Today: Nazi monuments being destroyed after the defeat of Nazi Germany.

If this offends you 😊 unfollow me 😊

And a note to confederates: these monuments weren’t kept because this was “history”. These monuments celebrated horrible things and we BLEW THEM UP.

Today I thought about wanting to read a book.

But soon I asked myself what good it would do me to do so.

There is no inherent value in art. Even less in consuming it.

And I realized I didn't want to think this way.

So I skipped the song I was listening to and shrugged.

AnoTeam Logbuch Tag 1:

09.03:

I don't know, why I posted this on my funny blog. I think I was like "It's in german, I shouldn't post it on my kinda serious blog" but I don't care anymore. Have fun in german, bozo

I hate having been born a philosopher.

Cursed to ponder.

Damned to wonder.

Ever curious. Ever unsatisfied.

Born with a quill for a finger and ink for tears.

I don't want to know, but can't stop thinking.

Sometimes I forget what I look like

And then I see my reflection in the window of a train

And it looks so strange and eery how He looks at me

Dead flesh hanging off a metal chassis/

Dead dreams drooping from ports/

Heavenly dreams from hellish machines/

Some can't remember, but most just forgot/
