Today I realized I've been making furry art for longer than some of my followers have probably been alive...
And you'd think I would be better at it by now! *insert sitcom laugh track here*
Doodled some Lopunny!
The paper in this sketchbook is bit rough and thin for watercolor, but I figured I’d try a little to see how it goes. Might be able to get away with light washes here and there. Mainly though this is just a junk sketchbook for me to draw with no pressure. Anything that comes out good is just a bonus!
Nothing quite like mandatory overtime with a ruthless boss who makes you work on projects of dubious legality. Why are we even prototyping headsets that mess with brainwaves again?
I… I can’t seem to remember…
A cold rainy day.
Going to try to do more sketchbook art this year. Despite the pressure of inktober last year, it was also a lot of fun. It was freeing to do physical art again after years of only doing digital.
I’m carrying a little sketchbook wallet with me everywhere, so it’s not like I have any excuse not to draw anyway. I’d really like to get better at a more loose style too. Doing little thumbnail drawings in my pocket sketch book and turning them into a full picture is nice, since I’ve already figured out some stuff in the mini while also not being tied to it.
I’m still re-sketching on the full piece, but one of these days I’m going to try and work up the courage to start going straight to ink. Or at least that’s what I tell myself…

Hot crossed bun!
That’s a wrap! Decided to finish it up by doing a little bit of watercolor for this one, since I don’t have any yellow or red ink to do a wash with. I’ve done digital watercolor pieces in the past, but it’s always been a hack since I’m not really experienced with real watercolor to know how to imitate it yet. I’m hoping to do more real media of it though in the future. I also got this adorable pink bunny stamp and I love it!
This month really flew by. It was a lot of fun drawing all these, but also a ton of work! I think I’m going to take a few days to relax and then figure out what I want to start drawing next. I want to keep up the momentum and start drawing more regularly than I have in the past.
30. (Sugar) Rush
That’s just candy… right?
Drawing a blurry bun without motion blur filters was a neat challenge. Doing speed lines and just trying to convey that jittery feeling and not drawing in full line art was intimidating, but I like how it turned out.
It’s the penultimate inktober drawing, just one left to go before it’s all done! I’m really excited and pleased that I was able to get this far. It was a ton of work, but really rewarding too.

Oh hey, guess what? You’re a bunny now. Congrats!
My poor red liner has all dried up. I should have tested it before I used it. I’m glad I took the picture at this stage though, as I then tried to fix it with a marker. Big mistake, this is not marker paper! Oof. Well, live and learn I guess.
