one day i told george michael that i fell in love with a boy at the christmas lights switch on a few days before christmas eve last year. i wrote him an anonymous message telling him i loved him, and I meant it. he told me he “didn’t receive it,” but then i realized his indifference meant “yes, i did.” and here i am, still waiting for a stolen kiss from him out of nowhere, and for us to be okay. because if he kisses me, he’ll fool me again. and the next day, george michael released “last christmas” (my favorite song all year round, every year of my life), and i poured out all this love drama. george michael predicted my future with elisha. i still hope things with him will work out, even though it seems impossible.

merry christmas to the people who have to pretend to be someone they’re not for their families, who don’t have family to celebrate with, who have bad past experiences with the holiday, who are having a rough year and just want to reach the end of it, who couldn’t afford gifts this year and feel guilt over it. merry christmas to everyone but especially those of you who are feeling down.

i barely managed to shower today in new year’s eve, despite my sadness, without even wanting to breathe because of so much depression. i hope you all feel better soon. i hope we’re all well and happy soon.
