This week's theme in @weeklymagmaswas's magma jams was Fanworks Fanart.

I did some drawings of Life Mission: Save My Brothers AU by @daedelweiss. First up is the wholesome Disaster Twins stuff. I really love how it turned out in the end.

Next is Mikey as Dr. Feelings giving his three older brothers from three different AUs a mandatory therapy session to deal with their mommy issues with Big Mama (all three of them have the exact same mom).

Big Mama's Child!Leo belongs to @hitokshellart (or Hitok_Art on Twitter where I mostly read the comic), The Little Prince!Donnie belongs to @beannary, and of course Life Mission!Raph belongs to @daedelweiss

One of the three Life Mission drawings was actually a part of a mini collab hosted by @calebscornerofart starring Kaiju Donnie from the Kaiju Turtles AU by @voidwitchboots where I drew Life Mission Mikey... and I broke a rule and added Donapatra into the mix because I didn't follow the assignment properly. Sorry about that.

Next is a silly little comic dedicated to the TMNT 2012 fanfic "Hey Sunshine" by @leadenn on Ao3 based on an image I found somewhere on the Internet before involving BtAS incarnation. You can REALLY tell this is my first time drawing 2012 Shredder. Let's just say I didn't do him justice in the end, but I still like how this silly little comic turned out.

A drawing dedicated to the fanfic "Science Vs Magic" by Themasterofvideos on Ao3. I probably went a little crazy with the rendering here, and I can't believe this is like the third time I've drawn Hypno. I like how it turned out in the end.

And by pure luck while trying to look for some more AUs or fanfics to draw, I stumbled upon @west-brooke's Cipher AU on Tumblr.

Overall, this week was really fun and can't wait for next week's magma jam. ^^

And one of the most common types of injustice that many girls and children assumed to be girls are subjected to is forced feminization.

Another arts school assignment - not about the experience of helping a parent cook as a child, but of letting a child "help" you in the kitchen.

It can be so messy sometimes, there's always a possibility every bodily fluid of the child is going to end up in the food, they get restless waiting and get way too close to the fire every single time, but if you let them feel like they're part of this, it's going to make their day :]

every day I learn bot comments on ao3 are stooping lower and lower

anyway if you get a comment like this, chances are that they are bot and their goal is to do whatever it takes to get you to delete your work, most certainly (from what I’ve heard) it’s because they want to “safely” steal your work, use it to train their ai without you being able to rightfully claim ownership of your work since “there’s no proof that the work was stolen/was posted elsewhere first by you” because the original source has already been deleted.

THEY ARE ALL BOTS. at first it was “ao3 is deleting fics and your entire account will be affected unless you delete the fics yourself” then it was “this work contains contents that are illegal and they have already reported you and your fic to the police” (yes, that’s how desperate these bots are), and now it’s this.

report their comments to ao3 for spam—in this case, specifically, I think you may be able to report them for harassment too—and don’t pay attention to them, most importantly don’t delete your works, don’t feel discouraged by their comments. remember that they are bots and they mass comment something like this on people’s works at random to get people to delete their works. (or even if they’re not bot, they are still pathetic bullies who don’t deserve your time or attention.)

I just watched a video about students getting their papers falsely flagged for using AI, even when they didn’t, and the advice was things like, “Leave in incorrect grammar,” “If you’re quoting something, don’t copy and paste it, type it out manually because it leaves a metadata trail that you used the copy/paste function and that's a flag,” “Write in the cloud so there’s a version history,” and the one that really got me, “if you find you write in a manner that can sounds too robotic or professional and it gets flagged, go to the writing center so a writing tutor can help you sound more humanly flawed,” and like what the actual fuck.

Like I get that is practical advice, but people should not have to fucking do that. They should not have to train themselves around not sounding like AI, when AI only sounds like that BECAUSE it was trained on them.

I spent so much of my life learning how to write, I shouldn't have to unlearn that because some computer algorithm learned from me.
