joined a characted ask a while back, and now im finally getting around to posting the stuff i drew for it!

a bit of context for the comic: during session 6, etho (the boogeyman) suggested everyone to stand in a huddle to prove their trust, and then threw a poison potion under their feet. mumbo (the second boogeyman) used this situation to blow up an end crystal, killing only bdubs (the third boogeyman).

It’s a cliche that there are always rpg companions who disapprove of you dragging the party around to help random people out of the goodness of their heart but honestly I’d probably be one of them. Like if I was grouped up under some incongruously beat face CC’d ig baddy or worse, some fucking guy, because we had a job of world saving importance to do and they kept getting distracted by every sad peasant who lost their family heirloom, insisting we help and not accept a reward, you’d be seeing Nico Disapproves in the corner too. Bitch we have a job to do the darkspawn tadpole chip in our head is going to summon the reaper Sith invasion of Hoover Dam any day now get with the fucking program

It's kinda hard to express the pain of the timezone gap to people who don't feel it nearly as severely.

Joining a server or forum or something and being the only person online. Logging on in the morning to read all these conversations that happened while you slept, they're daily refreshes, not live events. You'll basically never be a part of them, you don't even bother in the first place.

Logging onto tumblr and your friends are joking with eachother and posting and getting nuked and remade, all chunks of a day ago. Everyone's playing without you, and you read about it in the morning.

You're scared that if your blog goes down it'll happen while you sleep. You're scared if people want you dead you'll wake up to a wall of texts. You're afraid of checking your emails in the morning.

You've had long distance relationships, staying up into the early morning while she goes about her day. You don't mind the companionship, but you do miss the sleep.

Even just the simple fact that events in your countries history will be shared on social media the day after. You can't trust dates and always convert them in your head. The whole world operates on a time schedule set in New York city in seems.

All your friends are so very far away, and they only come out when you're sleeping.

Everyone's playing without you. And you'll read about it in the morning.
