I think there’s a difference between being empathetic to the pain Alicia is experiencing and being overly pessimistic to the point of just parroting her worst fears and internalized ableism. Acting as if she’s doomed to suffer forever isn’t 'realistic' it feels grossly unfair to the disabled people of the past and present (me!)

The process of becoming disabled is traumatic, losing your ability to speak and being disfigured is isolating! All of this is true but when you refuse to even consider that she could have a future I think that says a lot about how you actually feel about the disabled in real life. Like are you suggesting we just die? Come on, man.

It does such a disservice to the game's own work of showing her face, demystifying her disfigurement, and stating that being made to cover herself is abuse.
