Campaign 4 is so crazy. Even when you lose it still means something.
100 golden calf worshipers ambushed 100 iron boar worshipers in the valley of horror; the ensuing battle resulted in only one casualty: the last living porcelain lamb worshiper was caught in the crossfire and killed.

Me, sarcastically: yeah. I’m a medium popular Tumblr user. They repost me on reddit all the time. It’s very impressive.
Brother: you get reposted on reddit?
Me: yeah.
Me: actually you know, if you look at curatedtumblr at all you’ve probably seen my username at least a couple times
Brother: that’s crazy.
Mom: this is making me so mad because now I really want to know your blog’s name so I can look at it and I know you won’t give it to me.
Me: yeah and I never will.
Made the mistake of mentioning that I had a 60k post circulating to my mother earlier, a comment which has now blossomed into a fascinating whole family discussion that is really making me realize for the first time that no one in my real life actually has any frame of reference at all for understanding what it is i do on here all day.
Me: okay so you need to understand that “notes” are not like- it’s an aggregate number of all possible responses to a post and the way Tumblr works it’s like- it’s just not as interesting as it sounds. You can say anything mildly funny and get 50k. and I don’t keep up with it. Like I turn off notifications after 200, you know?
Dad: so this happens… Regularly? You often make posts that several thousand people look at?
Me: you’re doing it again. It’s not like that.
Mom: and you’re sure there’s not a way to monetize this?
Me: yes.

every time I think about Dilbert I think about this comic and how the question being asked is Not Stupid and its answer is genuinely interesting and arguably very important information anyone using a computer should know
