Hey y’all! I’m Kellington, creator of comics, games, and other various things! Here on my blog you can find all sorts of posts about my creative projects as I continue to work on them.

My current biggest projects are LIZ and the Biohazards and Tragoedia: Tales of Tragedy!

LatB is a series of comics about four teenage band mates trying to finish their debut album over the summer while they travel around the southern US, all while cracking down on mysterious monster attacks.

TToT is a Tabletop Role Playing Game inspired by the Greek Tragedies in the world where reality is formed by the stories people tell. Characters will explore the Ataraxian Isles while shaping themselves into heroes of legend, all to an ultimately tragic end.

europeans be like “omg north americans are so racist it’s horrible” and then elect fascists

I would like to emphasize that I agree with all of these tags by the way. My post wasn't aiming to pin all of Europe's grotesque racism on the new elections.

A few weeks ago I was at a board game night with some of my old classmates from various mainland European countries. They started talking about how horrible Trump's treatment of immigrants is and how they're so glad to be in Europe where nothing like that is happening right now. I asked them what they thought about the fact that their own governments were complicit in turning the Mediterranean into a mass grave of asylum seekers, and some of them legitimately didn't even know and were surprised to hear that their own governments had enacted policies that caused the deaths of thousands of asylum seekers.

Even here in Iceland, almost nobody has been talking about the fact that some of the far right populist parties have legitimately been talking about wanting to establish detainment camps to keep asylum seekers in.

"Friends outside of Minnesota please read. I'm sharing a post written by a personal friend and medical doctor:
Friends outside MN, you need to know what is happening here. Everyone knows that ICE shot and killed a woman here on Wednesday. But that’s not the only thing that’s going on:

  • ICE agents are cruising areas with immigrant-owned businesses, and kidnapping patrons and employees alike. Yesterday they abducted two US citizen employees at a suburban Target, one who was begging them to allow him to go get his passport to show them.
  • ICE is going door to door in immigrant-heavy neighborhoods, asking residents where their immigrant neighbors live. Read that again. If it sounds like something out of your high school history textbook, that’s because it is.
  • ICE is targeting schools and school buses. They pepper sprayed teenagers and abducted two school staff members at the high school up the street from me on Wednesday. Police are literally escorting school buses to ensure children can get to school and home safely. The Minneapolis Public Schools have moved to virtual learning for the next 4 weeks because it’s unsafe for children or teachers to physically come to school.
  • They are targeting hospitals and clinics. Patients are scared and are cancelling their appointments or just not showing up. Kids are missing their checkups and vaccines, folks aren’t getting their cancer care, etc.
  • They are smashing windows in cars and homes.
  • ICE is increasingly picking up Native Americans—again, targeting folks based on skin color alone.
  • They are arresting and beating legal observers. A friend of a friend had her arm broken yesterday. Folks are showing up at local hospitals, brought in in ICE custody, with severe injuries that are absolutely inconsistent with mechanism of injury reported by ICE. (Think: patient appears to have been beaten unconscious, while ICE agent says he slipped and fell.)
I can’t emphasize enough that these ICE agents do not have warrants. There are 2,000+ agents here and they are simply hunting for anyone that’s not white. It doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or a green card holder, they will kidnap you first and ask questions later.

But the community is fighting back.
  • Protests are happening every day.
  • Community groups have been leading know-your-rights sessions for months, often to packed venues.
  • Whistles are being distributed by the thousands, carried on keychains and worn on coat zippers, always at the ready to be blown in warning if ICE is spotted.
  • Drivers are following ICE vehicles, blaring their horns in warning.
  • Businesses are locking their doors even while open to keep employees and customers safe. As I type this, I’m standing guard at the locked door of our neighborhood burrito joint while I wait for my takeout order, so the employees can focus on their jobs. The place is packed with neighbors supporting this small business.
  • Anti-ICE signs are posted everywhere. The community is making it crystal clear that ICE is not welcome here.
  • Parents and neighbors are standing guard outside schools, organizing carpools, and escorting kids to and from school on foot.
  • Parents of kids in Spanish-immersion daycare (there are a LOT of these daycares here!) are keeping their kids home so the teachers don’t have to take the risk of coming to work.
  • Churches and community groups are holding fundraisers to buy and deliver groceries to families who don’t feel safe leaving home.
  • Mutual aid money is going out to folks who can’t make rent because they can’t work or because a breadwinner was abducted, or who need a warm place to stay after their home’s windows were smashed.

THAT is what is happening here. This fight is ongoing and it’s horrifying to watch. But we are not backing down. To my friends in other cities and states, don’t think for a minute that this won’t happen in your town. It will. Be ready. Learn from us, as we have learned from Portland and Chicago and New York. Fight back. Don’t let us get to the last line of Martin Niemoller’s poem.”

Here's an AP news brief with a little more info. It's limited in the way major news outlets are right now but provides context that supports the personal account shared.

rlly embarrassing when ppl act like topping/bottoming has any bearing on anything beyond how you like to fuck. grow up

you’re like, inches away from asking who’s the man and who’s the woman lol

I haven’t been on this app in a while, but I know a Black man, Keith Porter, was murdered by ICE on New Year’s Eve (Rest in Power) in Cali. Just one of the countless Black people who’ve been murdered by ICE and other agents of the state.

I log back into this app and see the conversations around the white woman, Renee Good, who was just recently killed. And I can’t help but notice the stark difference in circulation of news and boosting of stories between both of them across this app…

Shit has BEEN happening to Black people across administrations and is currently happening to Black people under this administration, and is met by crickets. Yet when it starts touching white people, I see real anger start being felt from the gen pop followed by amplification and co-opting of Black terms and memorialization… I stg it takes everything in me to give af about yall.

**Edited: linking a gfm for Keith

***update: the gfm is unavailable. Will post an updated link as soon as I have one (removing the link until then for less confusion)

*** updated gfm link verified by Keith Porter Jr’s grandfather

PLEASE READ THIS

This is one of the comics I drew about Rawan’s life to draw attention to her campaign.

Life in Gaza is getting more uncertain as more and more sources say a ground invasion is imminent. The consequence is that prices are soaring again. No one is really sure what to believe right now, but regardless, it has an impact on their lives.

In the midst of this, Rawan tries to keep on living. Her skin condition is getting worse again, so she’ll go back to the doctor tomorrow if the weather allows it. Her older brother has started physical therapy to recover after the missile strike. All of that costs money, unfortunately.

Rawan is trying to get her engineering degree, and her only option is to spend her days in a café for a good internet connection, which costs her $50 a day. On top of that, she and her mother really want to get her youngest siblings (5 and 15) in school (meaning classes in a tent), but the price would be $100 a month each. Her sister never got to start school and her brother had to stop because of the war, even though he was very studious.

Please pitch in to support them if you can. Even $5 goes a long way and just sharing these posts helps a ton too 🙏

this is my least favorite misogynist talking point in the fandom playbook because essentially everyone who complains about the lack of f/f Is Already writing or drawing it themselves if they are a person who enjoys writing or drawing. and if you're not a person who enjoys writing or drawing i don't think you are obligated to become one in order for your complaints about extremely blatant misogynistic trends in both original media and fan works to not count as "whining"

ohhh you think the women getting upset about misogyny are whiny? wow that's a new one that's revolutionary you're saying something so controversial and brave
