I wasn't expecting this particular band to feature so prominently in any of our characters' lists. (I had to do a deep dive for my own education, which I ended up digging a lot more than I expected.) It's just that as a story for Modern Tommy came together in my head, it featured a central tragedy, and it occured to me that one way to be close to the parents we've lost is by following the trail of breadcrumbs left in our memories of what was playing on the stereo when we were growing up. Our Tommy didn't sell the vinyl when he cleared out his folks' house. He took it all home.
