Anxiety issues

So @anxietyproblem (I think that's how I'm supposed to do that, still new to tumblr, sorry) made a meme post talking about how sometimes you just have to check the definitions of words online ensuring that the definition didn't just magically change somehow.

That was as real as heck.

I also realized that I do that with spellchecking words all the time (even if I know I'm right). Like I know how to spell random. Just that one voice keeps going "are you sure it isn't r.a.n.d.u.m" "that's ridiculous!" "…" "Okay okay I'll check". . . Why I keep complying? I have no clue. =)

Pros of writing: nobody else can write your story for you

Cons of writing: nobody else can write your story for you

I go through several phases of laziness when it comes to writing (rarely am I ever satisfied with what I end up with):

  1. Begins with an idea

2. Elaborating on the idea throughout the day whilst replaying the beginning of the scene over and over in my head

3. Diving into character dynamics and personalities in my head excitedly

4. Procrastinating actually sitting down and writing

5. Being frustrated that it isn't done and I can't just read it

6. Random motivation at 1am ; having fun outlining characters, setting scene, etc.

7. Realizing it's 3am so my brain is shutting down and my eyelids are getting heavy

8. Refusing to continue writing with the promise to myself of completing it after sleeping

9. Lost motivation the next day

10. Frustration of current lost motivation

11. Randomly daydreaming of another idea

12. 3 months later: returning to the original prompt and writing it out

13. Disappointed with how it comes out as it's not up to par with my previous expectations

14. abandoning/deletion

15. 6 months later: *regretting deleting it*

I need help navigating. . .

So, I'm new to tumblr. I had been eyeing the site the past 2 years but I never made an account and now I have and it's definitely quite the experience (I'm OBSESSEDDDD omggg where has this place been my entire life!). Is there anyone that doesn't mind explaining somethings to me, like if I have any questions? Because I have quite a few and I'm not too sure where I can ask or who can provide that info. greatly appreciated! =)
