imo the state monitoring your private messages is basically on the same level as opening and reading physical mail or perhaps breaking into your house to install bugs and cameras

The more critical question at hand is not the quantity of money, but the method of acquisition. Was this wealth gained by the labor of the individual? Or was it gained by the exploitation of the labor of others? Even someone making 100,000 is your enemy if their primary method of wealth acquisition is the latter.
