okay this is so fucking funny but also i just....it's so so so rewarding to see a 53 year old woman who has been working as an actor her whole adult life and who did some of the best work i've ever seen on a show that never won a SINGLE emmy let alone anything for her FINALLY having her moment. it is so refreshing to see an industry that is constantly chasing the next big thing recognizing that the big thing has actually been here all along. and the fact that she's getting all these awards and attention for playing a LESBIAN whose sexuality is 1000% relevant to the story but not in the ways we're all used to, and that story is now apple tv's most-watched show of ALL TIME.... it's literally just insane to me. i know it's crazy pair of social to be so happy and proud of someone i've literally never met but i remember watching the first season of BCS as it aired and just finding her so intriguing and subtle and loving everything she did on that show and wanting so much more of her and being bummed out when every year that incredible performance went unrecognized and uncelebrated even as it grew more and more central to the show AND the entire breaking bad universe. every time she gets onstage at an awards show she's so transparently awkward and gobsmacked about it and it's obvious that she never expected this outcome for her career and i just want to say that all of us OG kim wexler stans have been waiting for this moment for 10 years and we always knew she deserved it. and every bitter carol hater can eat it!!!
