🛑The Flu is Crushing Us, and I’m Powerless to Save My Wife🥹

My wife is suffering from severe pain due to the flu spreading in Gaza, and I am unable to provide her with the medicine she urgently needs medicines here are scarce and very expensive.

The pain she’s experiencing is intenseوher body has been completely weakened and confined to bed. This harsh cold doesn’t just pass through the body; it digs in, leaving unbearable pain and suffering.

If this is what the cold does to us, imagine the harshness faced by children, the sick, and the elderly. This freezing cold has already taken the breath of 9 children

I appeal to anyone who can help provide support to get medicine for my wife through my donation campaign link.

Someone said "Are you really so stupid to think that Africa has the same technological advances as us? If they did they would probably have clean water and not live in houses made of sticks and mud. Get over yourself and stop being so ignorant."..... Below is a tiny collection of images of the Africa they refuse to show you..

ches

I’m sorry you’ve been made to believe that the whole of Africa is poor, I really am..

Reblogging for those of you who think Africa is only what the media and movies portrays it to be

This fucks me up because it’s scary to think that we can be showed something all our lives and not even know it’s a lie

And that my friend is the power of propaganda, indoctrination, and media

Are these pictures of South Africa or of Africa as a whole?

@the-collecting-turnip From top to bottom:

1. Port Elizabeth (South Africa)

2. Unknown

3. Nairobi (Kenya)

4. Pretoria (South Africa)

5. Aburi Botanical Gardens (Ghana)

6. Cape Town (South Africa)

7. Pretoria (South Africa)

8. Harare (Zimbabwe)

9. Windhoek (Namibia)

10. Windhoek (Namibia)

To @kushandwizdom this is a rather unfair portrayal of Africa as a whole since half of these are literally just South Africa.  So Instead to add to this post and better dispel the myth of Africa as the vast wasteland of poverty most people think, I found a much more mixed collection of pics from various countries.

Luanda, Angola

Agadir, Morocco

Lagos, Nigeria

Cairo, Egypt

Port Louis, Mauritius

Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire

Algiers, Algeria

Tripoli, Libya

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Tunis, Tunisia

So, there, a much better case demonstrating the various major cities around Africa showing it isn’t some technologically backwards continent, but actually pretty up-and-coming in the world of commerce.

I once was talking to my Ethiopian manager about ignorant people asking her dumb shit about her life before she moved to the states…

the worst story she told me about was when she told a fellow student (at a fairly prestigious university) about a concert she went to back home. The other student responded with “omg you have music there!?” 🤦🏾‍♀️

Rebloging, because we need to see these pictures.

As for stupid questions: “do you have grocery stores in Ecuador?”

These are great!

A redneck neighbor once asked my mom (in the 80s) if they had cars in Peru. Sigh.

This is the product of poor world history in school & little current affairs coverage outside Western Europe, except for catastrophes, so all we see are the war torn, poverty stricken, disaster-affected parts on the news. And racism, of course.

I bet most Americans who think that African countries are just completely poverty stricken have no idea what the US looks like in its poorest areas, not everywhere in the US is nice suburbs or unrealistically large apartments on tv

Los Angeles, California

Hartford, Connecticut

New Orleans, Louisiana

Camden, New Jersey

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

McDowell County, West Virginia

Flint, Michigan

Washington, D.C.

Do you see the world as it is, or as someone told you it is?

This photoset proves you can make anywhere look great or terrible. It’s all framing and more people should know about that

Worth a reblog. I don’t think the US version was on there when I first reblogged.

The on-site vetter of @/gaza-evacuation-funds Mohammad Ayesh (@moayesh2) is getting married today!!!!!

He has supported so many gaza families for months by vetting and promoting their fundraisers, making sure that our money goes to people who need it. He has been doing that while also struggling himself. In the midst of all the horror and tragedy happening in Gaza, these happy moments become all the more crucial. Let us all congratulate, celebrate, support him in this important occasion of his life!

Save my family from hunger

My name is Abdullah Al-Qassab, I’m 27 years old, and I am writing this message with trembling hands and an empty stomach — from Gaza.

Before the war, I had a small travel agency something I built with love, effort, and hope.I dreamed of a simple life… a dignified life.

But the war didn’t just destroy my home and business —it shattered my ability to dream.

Today, I’m not asking for dreams.I’m asking for bread. For water. For life I now live with my family in the open — no walls, no roof, just the cold ground beneath us.

We are in a catastrophic famine.

We go days without food.

We faint in the street from hunger.

Our bodies are giving up.

And still… the world remains silent.

My mother has a heart condition — she needs medicine and special food.

Now she lies in pain, her chest aching, and I have nothing to give her. My grandmother has high blood pressure — worsened by hunger and cold nights.

Her body is shrinking before my eyes.

And me😞?

I’ve collapsed more than once from weakness. From not eating. But I stand up again… because they need me.

What do you call this life?

Sleeping on the dirt… watching your family starve… praying your heart doesn’t stop before help arrives? This is not a life. This is a slow death. To anyone reading this Please… don’t turn away from me.

Help me buy food before we collapse again. Help me get medicine before my mother’s heart gives out.

Help me bring even one moment of comfort to my grandmother before it’s too late.

I’m not asking for luxury.

I’m not asking for comfort.

> I’m begging for survival.

Even the smallest act of kindness could mean the world to us. Please… save us from this hunger.

I was talking with a friend who had also adopted several Gaza fundraisers a few days ago. They told me how one of the Palestinian families they were fundraising for managed to collect and save enough money to evacuate to Ireland. I had donated to that family before, and I was glad I did my little bit to help them achieve that. But at the same time, my heart hurts for the many Palestinians I know who also need to evacuate, but cannot manage to do so.

Ibrahim (@aburakhiaibrahim) needs an eye surgery and also treatment for his severe depression after all the trauma he has gone through. Meanwhile, his parents suffer from chronic illnesses. He also hopes to reunite with his sister in Canada. Both require money - which Ibrahim does not have, especially since his family consists of 28 people.

There have been reports in Gaza suggesting that the Rafah Crossing may open soon - a crossing that means access to family reunification and vital medical care, especially since Israel has banned multiple INGOs (including MSF) from working in Gaza.

This is to emphasize, again, that your donation is vital. Your donation is life-changing. Your donation is life-saving. Below is Ibrahim's Paypal and GFM. Please consider donating if you are able to.

Vetted! Their GFM is vetted by @/gaza-evacuation-funds, #336 on vetted fundraiser list by el-shab-hussein, nabulsi, and MohAyesh, #802 on Butterfly Effect Project vetted list, shared by @/nabulsi, shared by @/el-shab-hussein! But Paypal reaches them quicker!

The most recent ceasefire has not meant an end to genocide. We must contextualize this truth within the larger historical reality: Palestine has been enduring genocidal aggression from Israel since 1948. There are periods of greater intensity, but no periods of actual relief from this state. This is the reality of all settler-colonial projects, including Zionism. We must combat this genocide not as an outlier, but as deeply embedded in global structures of colonialism.

These are not unprecedented times. This moment of constant atrocity continues steadily from each previous year. There is no way to rewind the clock. This does not mean further atrocity is inevitable. It is not fate.

Genocide is not a force of "human nature" that we must live with. It is something humans are doing, and allowing to happen, and fighting against, and being martyred within, and surviving, all at once.

We all have a role to play in how things progress from here. Time moves forward, and we must take accountability for how our collective decisions shape the future we must all endure.

My friend Fadel is enduring the roughest consequences of all of our collective decisions. He is a young man, living in Gaza. He survived the bombing of his family home, but lives with chronic pain from untreated injuries. His family has been living in a tent since then, tattered and repeatedly flooded in winter storms. They have been sick for weeks now, unable to recover under these conditions.

@fadel-dani runs a fundraiser to afford food, supplies, and medicine (gazavetters list #197). Hopefully he will raise enough to get to a better resourced hospital outside of Gaza where surgeons can remove the shrapnel from his body that causes him constant pain.

These are the events of his life. We cannot go back in time and prevent these traumas from happening to him. His life can only move forward from this moment. We all have a role to play in what happens to him from here. Please help change the course of his life.

I am one of the victims of this Nazi-like occupation. Our house was bombed while we were inside, resulting in me being injured by shrapnel that remains embedded in my body to this day. This is due to the destruction of all our hospitals by the Israeli occupation. Currently, the entry of medicines and medical equipment necessary for surgeries for the injured is being prevented. Therefore, I urgently need your help in donating so that I can raise the funds for my treatment, travel expenses, and surgery as soon as possible. Please donate.

Please, if you can donate anything, share some funds with him. If you can't, reblog this and help get more eyes on Fadel's story. Comment encouraging others. It all helps.

Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu says, "The army must find ways to inflict more pain than death on civilians in Gaza. Killing them is not enough."

This article states that The Israeli occupation is killing us with utter brutality, savagery, and brazenness, without anyone holding them accountable. We are trying to stay alive amidst this death, destruction, and bombing. Why all this injustice and arrogance, and the world is in silence ? Why doesn't anyone stop Israel?

My Wife May Die

The doctor told us that my wife’s condition is critical and she must remain under close medical observation.

Her body is extremely weak, and there is a real risk of sudden deterioration.

She urgently needs medical treatment and a procedure, but we cannot afford the costs.

If we do not secure these costs now, my wife may die.

Our children, Alma, Lama, and Lina, are waiting for their mother,

and my hands tremble with fear for her as I write to you, hoping for the mercy of your hearts to save her.

Every hour that passes reduces her chances of survival. Please please Donate now

My GoFundMe account was suddenly closed without any explanation, and despite all my efforts, I was unable to recover it.

I was forced to create a new account, holding onto a fragile hope that I wouldn’t lose everything.

My mother is in pain. She urgently needs to continue her medical treatment, and time is slipping away. I feel completely helpless and broken, because I cannot save my mother on my own. There is no pain greater than watching your mother suffer while being unable to help her.

NEWLY ACTIVE CHUFFED CAMPAIGN to replace Ahmad's gfm that was closed without warning! Please reblog this post to let donors know about the new campaign, and donate if you can!

Israel has blocked 37 aid organizations from operating in Gaza, including Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders)! This is a devastating blow to Gazans, as there will be fewer resources, aid, and medical help available for them! Please help!

Happy New Year from Gaza to my Tumblr family. 🎉 I know I have been silent for a long time. We missed you all more than I can say.

Honestly? Lately, I have felt crushed. 💔 The cold here is freezing our bones right now. The wind cuts through the tent, and the weight of everything we have been through—the hunger, the fear, the exhaustion—felt like it was finally breaking me.

Despite the freezing cold and the empty stomach, she sits on the floor with her toys 🧸. She lines them up like students. She holds a stick like a teacher. She doesn't have a classroom, or a whiteboard, or even a real breakfast, but she refuses to stop playing "school."

She refuses to let the war take her imagination and willigness to learn and live.

Watching her, I realized: If this little girl hasn't given up, how can I? 💪 Donate Here if you can ❤️ ✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #720 )✅️

I know many of you have been worried because I disappeared. The truth is, I lost my phone 📵, simcard my only window to the world. I was locked in silence, unable to reach my brother, my best friend, or any of you. And while I was cut off, disaster struck: our previous campaign was deleted due to banking restrictions. 🚫

All the progress we made together... gone. We are back to square one in the middle of winter.

But because of Rokaya's strength, I am trying again. I managed to recover this account today, and we have created a NEW, fully verified campaign ✅.

We are starting from scratch. We literally need just ONE EURO 💶.

If everyone who sees this donates 1€ or simply REBLOGS 🔁 this post, it could be enough to buy our family a warm meal or a coat or Tarp for this week.

Thank you for not forgetting us. Let's make this year the one where we survive. ❤️ FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOU ! I will be verifying it again if needed

Our family, especially my 9-year-old sister Maryam, is facing a brutal winter in Gaza.

While this season is meant for warmth, holidays, and comfort for many around the world, we face freezing nights, strong winds, and relentless rain surrounding us, with no real shelter for protection. Some nights, the cold is so severe that Maryam can't sleep.

Amazing artwork by Notte💖 @rhymeswithfart

The rain seeps into everything, and the wind feels like it cuts straight through our bones. The sound of the wind, the dampness, and the fear of what the next storm will bring weigh heavily on her small shoulders. No one should have to endure this, especially not a child.😔

The rain spares nothing, and the wind cuts straight through us. Fear, cold, and exhaustion weigh on a child who should only know warmth and safety. Please keep us in your hearts.💖🇵🇸

If it seems like everything in Gaza is back to normal, the reality is far from it. Winter has made an already unbearable situation even harder. During this cold season, they need your help more than ever. Please consider donating now.💝🙏🇵🇸

Dear friends 💛

My campaign has been verified, and my number is #450 on GazaVetters! Our situation is very difficult I am the oldest among my siblings, our home was bombed, and life has become extremely hard. Gaza is still suffering, and children have no shelter or enough food. 💔💔

I’m sorry if I bothered you earlier, but I kindly ask you to donate if you can, even a small amount — $30 is enough for a full day’s meal. If you cannot donate, please share my campaign so our voices reach as many people as possible. Every bit of support is a new ray of hope 💔🌸

Thank you from the heart ❤️

https://chuffed.org/project/moayad

Moayad is a 24 year old web developer who just graduated from university when the current genocide happened. His family has lost their source of income and they are now homeless and cold!

Israel has blocked 37 aid organizations from operating in Gaza, including Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders)! This is a devastating blow to Gazans, especially with the difficulties winter brings! Bomb-damaged houses in Gaza are collapsing due to the winter storms! At least 13 people in Gaza have died due to the cold weather and the lack of shelter and aid! People have drowned due to the floods! Palestinians and Gaza need our support!

For three days I've been battling this illness alone. A severe case of the flu has exhausted me; my weak body can't take it anymore. The cough won't subside, and my fever worsens day by day. I haven't slept a wink, not only because of the illness, but also because my bed is completely soaked with rainwater. I sleep on the cold floor, wet, shivering, and in pain.

I can't eat anymore. Every bite hurts; my throat is inflamed, and my stomach is empty. I went looking for medicine, something to ease this pain, but it was too expensive, so I returned empty-handed, suffering in silence.

The pain has become unbearable; I even wish for death. There's no rest at night, no medicine during the day, and I can't endure any longer. Every passing moment feels like my last. My only wish is that my voice reaches everyone who can help me by donating so I can buy medicine and repair our torn tent. Please donate and don't abandon us.

Please help my friend Ahmed. I beg you to send him survival funds as soon as possible. I am so afraid for him
