My question is, what do the weird anti-kink people do when they discover they have a kink
do they just like
pretend everyone else likes feet or hair or McDonald’s playplace mascot statues or whatever exactly as much as they do
Or is it more of a Catholic denial-of-the-self sort of thing
Both. They 100% do both.
They also 100% find new ways to normalize it and make it “not weird.”
That’s why we’re seeing a surge of trad-wives wearing “day collars” and explaining what it means to their viewers on TikTok, but instead of explaining that it’s a practice followed by some people who enjoy BDSM with a very established meaning and understood dynamic within the BDSM community, they’ve rationalized it as “an additional signifier of godliness and commitment (read: submissive) to their husbands.”
What these people want is a 24/7 D/s, possibly master/slave dynamic, but with none of the etiquette or safety protocols the BDSM community has spent decades cultivating.
So they’ll wear a day collar and proudly proclaim themselves godly but spit the word “freak” at anyone who has consenting vanilla sex with their queer partner.
Wait Im confused it is an actual like collar or like a tiffany’s chain necklace that can be ‘repurposed’ for this practice
It depends. Even in kink spaces, day collars can look like unassuming necklaces (they’re supposed to be subtle/stealth, but depending on how your social circles run, some people still opt for leather) with certain symbols. Usually a circle to mimic an O-ring.
In terms of the trad wives, I’ve seen everything from those little Tiffany necklaces that get secured on/need to be cut off, to actual leather collars with leash rings on them.
One of the latter purported to be a pastor’s wife and was quoting Bible verses about submission to the husband and how, actually, kinksters stole day collars from them.
The comments are always a minefield.
Really wanted to highlight the “abuse co-opting kink language” part, because ofc that’s what it is.
Hey sorry to bother you, just wanted to know before interacting since I am 35 years of age but are you an adult? Please don't take anything seriously, just a personal boundary of mine and I can't seem to find your age anywhere on your blog. Thanks for understanding and have a great day.

As far as I’m concerned, pokemon villain writing peaked with Guzma. Legitimately worried about the erosion of culture due to hyper-tourism surrounding their sacred rites and practices. Abused as a child, ran away from home to start his countries only youth hostel for similarly troubled kids, and funds it with crime. Bug type specialist, with an ace that is mostly known for its first stage being cowardly. Cultivates a big scary persona as a defense mechanism to protect himself and his members, no one can beat big bad Guzma, so they don’t have to be afraid anymore. His grunts trust him enough to ask him for help when they screw up, despite the fact that they all come from troubled homes. Was so significant that pokemon switched from having cartoonishly evil bad guys and teams to the current model of “sympathetic and understandable antagonist that has some very good points, even as they oppose the protagonist, and is in some way actively doing good in their community by supporting those who are the most in need of assistance, due to some legitimate failing of the current system.” There is a cartoon villain looming behind him, but they’re a twist and not the main team presented. Everyone wants to be him, but they can never replicate the perfection that is this man.
Sinners is pretty unclear about whether or not the soul of a vampire, once killed, can rejoin their ancestors, and I love the discussion because I am of the mind that remmick indeed got to the afterlife.
While Annie is explaining the lore she states that once a person is killed and brought back, the soul is trapped in the body and denied the afterlife. She then states that killing a vampire frees the soul once more. This seems to imply that the soul isn’t bound to the curse, and once the vampire is killed the soul is freed.
However, Annie then states that she wishes to be killed BEFORE she’s allowed to return as a vampire so that her soul may not be trapped. That SEEMS to imply that her soul will be unable to return to the afterlife despite being freed from the body, which would directly contradict her statement that the kindest thing to do for a vampire is to kill them and free their trapped soul.
This either means that a person’s soul, once cursed by a vampire, is forfeit of gaining an afterlife but is still better off destroyed rather than an eternity of being trapped in the body of a monster.
OR Annie simply wanted to die before she turned because she didn’t want Smoke to hesitate and possibly be unable to kill her(because she still SEEMED to be alive, and he loved her too much to lose her). Which seems more plausible because Otherwise there is no reason to say “free the soul from the curse”.
Another layer of confusion is that when Remmick explains to Sammy why he wants him, he states that he wants to see his people again and that he’s trapped here. This either implies that remmick has no other options to seeing his ancestors again in vampire life OR death, and couldn’t simply take his own life to free his soul.
OR it just means that because he’s a cursed monster he would never think to kill himself and instead resorts to taking and manipulating others.
Now specifically the reason I believe he got to the afterlife is because While Remmick is dying there is also heavy symbolism that his soul is being freed. The scene is very sentimental and we linger on his emotions. Irish music can be heard while he looks into the sunrise like his ancestors are finally calling him home. and once he dies his body disappears instead of dropping as a corpse like the other vampires. This distinction is clearly meant to imply that Remmick is being freed from his centuries long isolation, and the music implies that he’s not only freed, but reconnecting to what he’s lost.
In conclusion, bro is dancing a mean little jig up there with all his homies ☘️🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼☘️
sometimes i feel like we (remheads) were robbed of a remmick sex scene, but i also understand the intentionality of having the other characters be sexual with one another and remmick’s only brush with sexuality being when he antagonizes grace. he is lonely in every conceivable way, only capable of forcing intimacy and camaraderie of any kind onto anyone he encounters because he has lost his ability to make connections. no friends, no family, no partners. just his hand and that fuck ass banjo he stole from bert
First Sammick thought I got was Hellsing type au where Sammie is Integral Hellsing and Remmick is his nasty as fuck attack dog vampire freak weapon pet
