the heated rivalry closet pact of it all is so interesting to me especially when you think about francais arnaud being out and also being the one giving the most clear cut interview answers and the one being like, you know an audition is a job interview? you can't ask someone if they're gay in a job interview?
yeah! i think it was actually jacob tierney who said that and if i remember correctly he actually jumped in on a question that was directed to hudson/connor so that was lowkey epic of him. i do think he’s probably had a pretty big hand in giving the two of them the tools to navigate all this not just as their showrunner but also as an out gay guy in the industry. anyway yes. françois and jacob both have the benefit of being like. middle aged and not newly out and also like. not the center of attention here. like it’s not their sexualities/under a microscope. i think there is something to be said for the like. phenomenon u hear abt a lot where an actor is like. openly gay/bi before seeing a lot of success and then goes back in the closet when they start getting a lot of attention etc. not that that is what is happening here but just that u know. which came first, the closet or the success etc etc LMAO
