Escapism at it’s Finest

I watch anime. Lots of anime. Also really into different fandoms. Profile pic by leonmandala on devianart

Hi hello, and welcome! My name’s Lysithea. This is referencing the best girl from the game Fire Emblem: Three Houses! I enjoy being a part of multiple fandoms such as anime/manga, books, movies, video games, etc.

I’m still an amateur video gamer. I got into them when I married my husband, who grew up gaming. So I introduced him to anime, and he helped get me into video games. My favorite games are Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Okami (the remastered version.)

Some of my favorite animes include Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast Inn for Ayakashi, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, Haikyuu!!, Fairy Tail, Noragami, Natsume’s Book of Friends, and Steins; Gate, among others.

My favorite book is Howl’s Moving Castle, which will forever and always be BETTER THAN THE MOVIE. I will die on this hill!!! And my favorite singer is Ayumi Hamasaki, the empress of Jpop herself!

Other cool things to know about me: In my free time from work, when I’m not fandom-ing, I visit my elderly horse. I’m 20-something, neurodivergent, and a Christian. MBTI states I am 48% INTJ, and 52% INFJ. (I also have some INFP traits.) Anywho, thanks for reading, and feel free to look around and ask questions! 😊💟

Apparently in China peach wood (Along with the rest of the plant) is believed to have properties that repel evil spirits, a little similar to silver in European legends or iron for both European fae and West Asian/Middle eastern Jinn. Taoists sometimes keep swords made of peach wood because of this. This made me realize something. If you took a peach wood stick, and attached studs to it of both silver and iron you'd end up with a club or staff (or mace, flail etc.) that would have the weaknesses of many kinds of supernatural creatures while still retaining effectiveness as a normal weapon (peach is a hardwood and silver's poor edge retention doesn't matter for studs). You could even keep adding new stud materials to get something ridiculous that affects over 120 catalogued folkloric monsters. Since you just need a few little studs you could even get some really expensive materials like meteoric iron (a thumb tip sized meteorite can still cost like 10-20 bucks I think). I could somewhat feasibly make a weapon that affects every monster ever thought to walk the earth, from vampires and werewolves to jinn and jiangshi and even mankind.

Just got a chatgpt ad where the use case was "can't decide a new years resolution". I can't think of anything more sad than needing a robot to tell you what your own ambitions are. Loser shit.

dear Santa please make ai bubble blow up and every ai service go bankrupt facing legal charges for stealing other's work

Disclaimer: my hatred of geologists is purely theatrical, but if I did have to kill one for some reason, it would be very easy.

I’d brandish my obsidian knife at them and they’d be compelled to approach. “That’s very cool,” they’d say, confident in their superior strength and endurance from all the rocks they carry around at all times. They’d shower me with very interesting facts about obsidian and hover just out of range of the cutting edge, waiting for me to exhaust myself. “But as it is volcanic glass, it’s very fragile, you see, and isn’t well-suited for use as a weap—” and then I’d hit them with the wooden baseball bat in my other hand, which they would not have noticed because geologists can only see rocks and minerals.

Showed my Geologist dad a picture of the obsidian knife you had and he nearly said this exact thing word for word. I can't believe my own father would fall prey to this. Clearly you know thine enemy

I work too closely with geologists not to have a contingency plan for eliminating them.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is clean your room, open the window, and let the air move again. Energy needs circulation just like lungs do.
