pepper tries to woo peach…..bonus episode

highlights include peach’s “….anyway” and pepper looking to me for moral support.

bringing this back because i think this video helped a lot of people to realise that spiders aren’t all that scary. after posting this I got so many messages saying they love pepper and that he showed them that spiders are actually pretty cute, so hopefully this will help any new people who happen to come to this blog now. ♡

Oh my god, look how precious and sweet they are. Spiders are so gentle and sweet as a whole. They have such soft body language.

I’m at the point where my meds don’t fit confortably in my pill organizer, and I’m this close to buying a bunch of plastic capsules and a gumball machine and calling it a day.

Gotta get one of those three in ones

absolutely flabbergasting to see people who have so enthusiastically succumbed to despair. like okay denethor, but some of us are gonna actually face the armies of mordor in battle nonetheless.

The thing about Denethor is that he not only succumbed to despair, he wanted to ensure that Faramir succumbed with him. Similarly, a lot of people now are not only succumbing to despair, they're actively proselytizing despair, trying to convince others to join them in their hopelessness. Despair is apparently lonely and they want company in their self-immolation.

btw denethor succumbed to despair bc he was doomscrolling on the palantir. Sauron tweaked his algorithm so he only saw bad news, and he fell into the trap of thinking the world couldn't be saved.

"Alone"

A world where giant wasps contemplate poignancy.

This is an ancient sketch from 2014. I forget exactly what the story is behind this concept, but I believe it encapsulates tranquility, solitude, and melancholy. 2014 was a very weird time in my life, and I remember feeling very out of place and isolated.

"Under the weather"

A piece from 2013. I remember I was feeling very low when I drew this. It's interesting revisiting my old art from years ago. Definitely a lot of angst and struggles in that period, and even now I'm still struggling. At least I can confidently say that I've come a long way artistically since that time. These works bring a nostalgic feeling, I'm still so far from where I want to be, but at least I'm not still where I used to be in some aspects.

Misumena vatia is probably the most well known crab spider in the northern hemisphere, but this is not one. she is an unknown, possibly undescribed species that might not even be in the genus Misumena, currently known from very specific areas of southwestern europe. taxonomic horrors aside, she's also a very pretty pale lady, made whiter by the glare of the nightmarish summer sun, like a reverse british tourist
