Anyway remember when I said “kinda sucks that people from russia, iran, syria, north korea and cuba cannot make an ao3 account” and an OTW member answered me like “it’s not like we don’t want CUBANS on this site” so you’re chill with cubans but not russians iranians syrians and north koreans. yeah that sounds about right
And when you ask them why they go “well russia is imperialist” “north korea is undemocratic” “Syria is full of extremist religious fundamentalists” “Iran is too militarized” three of these things are true of the united states as well and the fourth you always without a fault imply when an election unsurprisingly goes right leaning.
What I am trying to get to here is why is it that you think you have the right to hate on regular people with no leverage on the actions of their governments and militaries (a right that is highly encouraged by your hegemony) yet when anyone anywhere else in the world speaks ill of the culture that pertains to the united states of america you’re suddenly so fiercely convinced that anyone unable to separate the actions of a government from the actions of the people is such a mean spirited discriminator that borders on xenophobe.
