I was lucky enough to work with @lethallana on another commission, this time for my beautiful beautiful FFXIV babies.
I cannot recommend working with her enough, her talent and ideas are on another level, all of the little pops of colour make it so special, so perfectly them.
Go commission her now! Do it! You fool why aren’t you doing it?? Now!
Ahhh I adore them. Don’t mind me staring at this for the rest of the dang year.

Shane Hollander/Ilya Rozanov
Summary:
“Even like this you know what you want, don’t you Hollander?”
“I want you.” Shane smirks.
“Obviously.” Ilya says, kissing him too quick. “You are drunk, not stupid.”
Shane smiles, thinks that he might be both right now and that’s absolutely fine with him.
(Shane wants to get out of his head for a while - Ilya helps. With vodka.)

Have you talked to Scott Hunter?
No. I did. You did? Yeah briefly. After MLH Awards in June.
And, what did he say?
Nothing. I didn’t tell him about Shane and me. But what he did, it was…
Yes it was very brave.
It changed things, for me at least. Maybe for us.
newbie fic authors, shooting themselves in the foot: This fic is bad haha I suck at writing lol I am being mean to myself in the hopes that you will be nice to me but actually am dissuading anyone from even clicking on my fic because all I have done to advertise it is tell you why you shouldn’t read it

The fire licks high across the wooden slats of the once sturdy warehouse, tinting the night sky in bright oranges and yellows. Bright sparks and flakes of ash float into the brilliant darkness of the night — fake little stars, added onto the empty, vast, dark expanse of the firmament.
Margaret starts chuckling, quietly at first, almost not audible over the roaring of flames and the cracking of wood, and then louder, until she is fully giggling, holding her hand atop her stomach with the sound.
“What’s so funny?” William asks between heavy pants, his heart still hammering in his chest with excess adrenaline.
Gable has their hands on their thighs as they alternate between concerning fits of coughs and struggling through deep labored breaths.
Margaret stares into the flames for a moment longer, before she looks over her shoulder at the two of them, catching their breaths from running. The fire gleams off of the sweat on her face and glows red through her frizzy hair.
“Oh, just,” she doesn’t stop giggling, “in certain cultures, this could be seen as a marriage proposal.”
“What, us nearly dying in a fucking barn fire?” William manages.
“No, silly,” Margaret grins and looks back upon the flames. “Setting a fire together.”
KSENIA DANIELA KHARLAMOVA as Svetlana Vetrova in HEATED RIVALRY (2025)

Do you guys have like. AMVs of the mind. Like fanvideos that you have edited in your head for specific media to certain songs and every time you hear the song (or at least sometimes) you think about this nonexistent fanvideo. Used to happen to me a lot in high school and now I still do it sometimes just for fun
when one starts forming I’ll often put the song on loop and just sit there listening to it and putting together exactly the AMV I want to exist. Or I guess it’s more like animatics than AMVs - I don’t take existing footage I imagine what I’d draw if I could draw, or animate if I could draw.
But yeah I’ve been doing this since I was at least like 14 and I’m nearly 40 so you are super not alone.
I can’t quite explain it, but Clue (1985), The Princess Bride (1987), Galaxy Quest (1999), and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) are all the same genre
They aren’t a spoof (roast) or a love letter (tribute), but a best man’s speech; an expression of love with a gentle ribbing on ocassion.
If it’s not in the actual work, it’s not canon.
If it’s something that got scraped in editing, it’s a fun piece of trivia, but it’s not canon.
If it’s something the author thought about, but never included in the work, it’s not canon. If it’s one of several takes and they didn’t settle on it in editing, it’s not canon.
If it’s part of an additional work, in a different medium, that not everyone following the main work has access to, it’s not canon.
If it’s on the creator’s patreon, it’s not canon. It’s only canon if it’s included in the final work that all readers/viewers/listeners have access to.
If it’s a fun idea the author considered and never used, or a deleted scene, or an alternate take, or the actors’ headcanon for the part they play, it’s just fun trivia.
