Scene I pictured purely based on playlist vibes on my drive home from work. Does it really have a plot? No. Do I care? No. Could be a prompt? Mostly just silliness.

JL doing their normal scans about and spot a glowing green dome on the moon. Which appears to be cast over a… wedding reception? Bunch of people, some more human than others, apparently just having a good time. Some of the space friendly heroes go to check it out and also get a better look with video feed being sent back to the Watchtower. They get spotted and invited in, can evidently just go through the dome and there's air and heat inside.

Constantine happens to be there (in the tower, not the reception) and freaks out when he sees some things on the feed. First, Realms ghosts, so many of them. Second, his fucking American cousin Jack Fenton. Has whoever confirm his name and yep. Thought Jack didn't like ghosts? While he's cursing back in the tower, Danny hears him over the hero's earpiece (hello super ghost hearing) and comes over to ask if that's 'Uncle John.'

Whiiich makes John freak more. A) Danny's a ghost, B) he's wearing the fucking crown of fire. His cousin's youngest is the ghost king. And an impulsive ghost king, because he immediately opens a portal to the tower and pulls John through, calling out to the others than they can come too, because obviously they're Uncle John's friends.

Everlasting trio wedding, but flipped so Tuck and Danny went down the isle with their dads instead of Sam. Whose parents weren't invited. But Granny Ida was. Jack absolutely cried loud ugly tears of joy.

If Clockwork's there (performed the ceremony?), he has to say hello to Diana and introduce her to her cousin because he adopted Danny as a grandson and no one can tell him no.

Why are they having the wedding reception on the moon? Why not?

I think the reason I never go viral on tumblr is because I'm too damn right all the time. Nobody has anything to correct me over because I'm just so on point with everything I say. It's only the targets of relemtless mockery who make it big.

Relemtless

FUCK YOU

Yeah, not FUCKIG LIKELY

No way this shit's funny enough to break 100, fumblr has STANDARDS

WAIT FUCK SHIT I FORGOT TO CROP THE FUCKING IMAGE FUCK

NOBODY LOOK

You all also need to know that I blame myself and more so the DoM discord for having a new Danny/Jason idea. It's a shifter Au. Danny steals Jason from the Pits because he smells like Pack. They return to Gotham together where Danny becomes known as the the Reaper and Jason the Red Death that follows in the Reaper's footsteps.

The Reaper walks the streets The Red Death in his steps. Fear the Reaper for He sees he sees he sees, And the Red Death shows Obeying the Reaper's call.

Close enough, welcome back Phantom!!

Dpxdc

You know those comments " close enough, welcome back ____". Ok so hear me out.

Imagine an edit on tiktok of green lantern being badass, saving the day, compilation of the best fights and he throwing jokes while ending a villain. And then someone commented   "close enough, welcome back Phantom".

And the next thing people know, the internet was full of Phantom edits. All the videos are clearly old, of poor quality and could easily pass as fake, but as time goes on, more and more videos appear, All posted by different accounts. Of course, this only served to make everyone curious.

Obviously people are confused and the answers they were getting just weren't helpful at all. The explanations range from "retired small town hero" to "the greatest hero to ever walk this earth."; from "He didn't retire, he was assassinated by the American government" to "He would easily finish off Superman".

And It was when someone posted a video with the caption "List of Phantom rogues who would end Superman:..." with no other explanation that things got out of control. It goes without saying that this started a fan war.

By the end of the week, the only things the general public knew were: 1. Phantom was a (teen??) ghost hero that protected humans from other ghosts and ghosts of humans, apparently; 2. He protected a small town in nowhere, Illinois; 3. That he had disappeared without explanation.

And that is not worrying at all.

I'll probably add something else later, but for now that's it.

(Please correct me if you find any glaring errors; writing in English stresses me out on another level.)

Prompt 177

Now Dan is no coward. He’s not.

But this stupid child body does have an effect on his reactions to things and honestly it’s a horrible thing that’s too small and too weak for him to use all his abilities. He could barely manage a fireball if he concentrated, yet everything caught fire with a mere outburst! His control was utterly gone, and a tantrum resulted in having to wear a stupid child leash backpack.

It wasn’t like he was really a child, and it wasn’t like he’d get lost or some stupid shit that Danny would insist. Ugh, this isn’t even fair, technically he was older than him yet was stuck in a smaller body that he kept tripping over!

Urgh, he’s even insisting on rewarding ‘good behavior’ and shit- must have talked to Jazz or something- because… Oh. No he wants the constellation bear, give! His star bear now, no takes back and, urgh, stupid baby body!

Well, on the other hand, it’s utterly hilarious how much Danny sputters whenever he calls him Mom, not to mention strangers’ utter befuddlement. He ignores how Danny seems to be trying his best to live up ro the title.

But! As he was saying, he’s no coward! He’s also not an idiot though, and having no control over his powers isn’t exactly a good thing. It’s really not a good thing when there’s a murderous-looking hero that he thinks he might have maimed in the future- which they apparently remember- staring down at him. So, he has to call in the big guns to fix this.

Mom, there’s a creepy fruitloop staring at me!” “There’s WHAT?!” Hah. Take that hero he doesn’t remember the name of.

(Behold the Grumpiest of Babies)

He shouts “Mom!” And a very Viking AU Danny shows up

If he's calling Danny 'Mom'? Ellie and Jazz have to be Uncle. Just for the eyerolls he gets every time. Dan is not happy. He's gonna make it everyone's problem. And the hero prick following them around? Creepily stalking them? He's gonna set his Mom and Uncle Ellie on them. If only he was bigger, and could beat them up himself!! This small body is a nuisance!!!

Meanwhile the hero is baffled. Dan Phantom, the menace that caused so much devastation? Is a smol, grumpy child. So cute. How is this fair! They have an over protective Mom as well. So they can't even discretely fix the issue!!! How are they meant to avoid the destroyed Earth if they can't get rid of the cause!!!!

Batman! They need to read Batman in on the situation. He has all the contingency plans right?! Ok, so telling Batman their plan was to kill a child to pre empt them going evil? Lead to them sitting through a lecture. About how we don't kill children, even if they did destroy the Earth in the future. Apparently they have to lead him to be good. And they absolutely fucked up their chance to get an in with the family... Bollox.

Batman brought out the powerpoints. The powerpoints! The lecture-turned-meeting-turned-rant lasted hours. No one is sure they've ever heard the vigilante speak that much at once. Except for his kids who have had to sit through similar lectures.

And then, the hero from-the-future or with-their-future-memories has to sit through another two lectures from Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash of all people!

Danny on the other hand, is fussing over Dan, because this is his baby. Yes Dan destroyed the world but he's getting better and they're working on it! The positive reinforcement seems to be working, and consequences for his actions. Like having to deal with the near invulnerable child leash since he wandered off in the first place. But he did get Dan some ice cream for having to deal with a, he shudders just thinking about it, fruitloop.

@angryraptor13 just adding your reblog here for ease.

(Is it Booster Gold (Smug Time-Travelling Idiot™️)? This is a bit too dark for Impulse IMO.

Also, dude, this is why you TALK to people? You have no idea why the (currently) smol child WENT evil in the first place. For all you know, it's actually the Mom who flipped out after alternate-you murdered their child for no apparent reason - they *do* look a lot alike...)

Yes, Booster Gold? Has had, SO many lectures? And talks. And pointed comments. He was trying to save the world people!!! That child did worse than Hitler ever managed!!! We are talking Superman goes evil damage here! Batman is frankly not impressed. He has dealt with many future evil timeline shenanigans. Murder has never been the solution once!

The Justice league go to investigate the family and are confused. They seem? Normal??? And the mom is clearly caring and teaching the child it’s not good to scheme or hurt others. He’s being showered in lots of love and affection. If anything it seems like good parenting. The Uncles are also friendly and supportive. No sign of abuse or fear from the child. So what exactly happened? How did he go all murdery?! You don’t just snap out of nowhere. (Also, this is all done in their ghost forms except Jazz whose in an upgraded Fenton peeler that kind of resembled Red huntress’s gear except for color. Her face is always covered with a visor and the JL are wondering if she is a robot or not. Cyborg is in love. Sometimes the family will just disappear and no one can find them then they pop back into existence.)

And after weeks of monitoring this family (at a distance. Danny hisses like a feral cat). One day they see a new ghost with hair like Ras Al ghoul and after watching that interaction they have….concerns. The vampire like being (they still don’t know what species they are) is clearly trying to capture them with the mom taking most of the hits defending them while Uncle Ellie takes the child away to safety. The snippets of conversation they have is also bad. Stuff about how the Vampire is inevitable, for Phantom to join his family, how they could rule the world together. Meanwhile, Phantom is clearly not reciprocating whatever the other guy is saying and the fight continues. Then it starts getting dangerous as the vampire states how he could provide for Dan and how he needs a strong mentor to teach him how to control his abilities. How he can make their child great. The mother looses it stating how the ‘fruitloop’ was never getting near his son.

And then the metaphoracle bomb drops as the vampire states how Dan was his son too. He has a right to spend ‘quality time’ with him.

The mom only states that the vampire will get to Dan over his. Dead. Body. And then the fight continues.

And suddenly….the Justice league is pretty sure they know how Dan became evil. So now they are convinced that the snapping point was the child’s ‘father’ likely killed Dan’s entire family and took him away. Maybe they do some future research and learn that the future evil Dan’s family was murdered or they just realize that the mother would never stop trying to get his baby back unless he was dead.

Which means that to prevent the evil future? They have to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to keep the family alive.

Danny starts getting more annoyed because it’s almost like the JL’s hovering doubled over night.

The father showing up puts some other things into perspective for the Justice League too. Or at least, let's them leap tall buildings to more conclusions.

They don't know what exactly the family are - metas, aliens, supernatural, other? But with a father showing up, and Phantom not denying his claim to being Dan's biological father, it's looking more likely to be alien, supernatural or other. So it's hard to judge ages based on an unknown lifespan or culture. But there are still a lot of layers of red flags hitting the heroes' buttons.

Because the mom, Phantom, seems young. Not just in appearance, but in mannerisms too. There's been snippets of overheard conversations with his siblings about attending classes and college. And the father seems much older, always referring to how much more experienced he is than Phantom. Phantom repeatedly calls Plasmius a Fruitloop, too.

And Dan is young, but not all that young that he's a new infant or toddler. Phantom must have had Dan quite a few years ago. Judging visually by human and humanoid alien aging patterns, Phantom would have been a very young teen mother. Too young, by most common human and human-like alien culture standards.

No wonder Phantom reacted so badly to an adult 'Fruitloop' creeping on his little boy.

This isn't just a case of a scorned father going murderous villain to get control of his child. This is a sexual predator abusing his previous child victim even after Phantom escaped him, and targeting his own child as his likely next victim.

As much as Phantom has shown he can handle threats, he needs help. Not just with protecting Dan, but protecting himself from his abuser too. He shouldn't have to keep facing him and reliving his past trauma.

Danny is so confused when he starts finding pamphlets and flyers for sexual assault survivor, spousal abuse recovery, and childhood abuse survivor support networks and hotlines showing up in his mail or slipped under his door. He's pretty sure it's the helicopter heroes doing it, but he has no idea why. Maybe the childhood abuse ones could sort of apply to how his parents had treated Phantom, but there's no way the Justice League connected him to the Fenton parents, right?

Danny is eventually going to put the pieces together. Oh, oh no. They the Fruitloop... Gross. So gross. What he did was not that... But, he can see how they came to the conclusion. It's nice that they want to help. But the only way they can is to put Vlad away. Forever. And well, Danny has uh, been working on that? See, Vlad hasn't made many friends. Most of the allies he has? He threatened or bribed. Danny has made a LOT of allies. Quite a few of them would be happy to end Vlad. But that's not really an option.

So, him and his allies have been slowly making a prison just for Vlad. So, he won't be a problem soon! But, hmm... With the heroes help he can smooth Vlad's disappearance on the human side too.... And Batman did slip his number on one of the flyers... Dan? You up to playing this up? They can help us with the Fruitloop's imprisonment. Yeah, on the human side. You wanna play terrified of the evil bad man who hurt Mom? Good good. Let's get plotting!

As someone who can crochet, I can assure you that even if your craft was impossible to automate, people still wouldn't be willing to pay a fair price for it.

Crochet can't be done by a machine, at least not properly. Crochet tops were a trend at some point and what happened was that fashion brands started either exploiting their textile workers even harder, which meant that if the pieces were actually real crochet and mass produced, you could assume they were unethically made, or they sold fake crochet items made with different techniques that look kind of similar and can be done with machines.

What's standing between you and fair pay for your work is not automation, it's collective bargaining power — worker's rights, industry-wide unions — globally, not just in rich countries, as well as social safety nets and government spending going towards supporting artisans.

Crochet can't be automated, yet nobody except for maybe the top 0.1% of crocheters are actually able to live off of crocheting, and I've personally never had someone be able to pay me a fair price for how much work I put into a piece they wanted. Because it's very labor intensive and for most people, just paying for the materials is already a lot. Nobody will pay me 1000€ for a blanket that would take me months to make just because that would be a fair price for the labor that went into it.

There are for sure way more artists who feel threatened by AI that are able to support themselves via commissions for their art than there are crocheters who can do the same. Because people still value visual arts & music a hell of a lot more than they value fiber arts, which have already been made redundant by fast fashion (= mass exploitation of workers much poorer than us).

Huge fan of the lady on TikTok (@ eve.schaub.im.grow) who's currently on week 38 of growing a dress in her backyard, demonstrating how labor-intensive making new clothes used to be.

So far she's grown, harvested, dried & processed the flax, and now she's spinning it into yarn. Then she'll have to ge to weaving the linen (with a loom), and eventually, she'll make the dress.

I am so very serious when I say that minors should have a legal and easily reinforceable right to say "I don't want to live with my parents (or other adult caretakers)/I don't want to be around that person/I don't want to go to that place" and actually get their wish accommodated. So much childhood trauma could be avoided or ended if children actually had the right to leave the situation or the person hurting them.

nothing but respect for batgirl and robin for flipping the gender norms on which sidekick gets no pants

The female sidekick in what’s basically a mini-version of the hero’s costume while the male sidekick wears some random shit the artist thought looked cool with zero thoughts to practically is crazy

I'm gonna start saying "especially non binary ppl" when talking about trans issues. Trans people are really struggling, especially non binary ppl, because we're treated like jokes and freaks in our own communities. I'm kind of sick and tired of things being "especially" about everyone else but us

Non binary people are treated like the scapegoats of the trans community, everything is our fault. We're too loud, to assertive, too annoying, too cringe. Too out there, we are visibly trans a lot of the time, and that pisses people the fuck off because we like it and it's a part of our gender identity and expression. We are just as oppressed and face just as much violence as everyone else

#passing refers to making our transness invisible

I am NOT letting you leave this in the tags prev it is so true. Non binary people cant pass because there is no way to pass for us. Passing as ANY GENDER is getting misgendered because it means others assuming we're binary people, and we're not.

One of the first feelings of dysphoria I got was the feeling of "everyone else will perceive me as a binary gender first and there is nothing I can do about it" and I wanted to stop existing at all, to stop having a body and stop being perceived so no one would dictate my identity for me.

Non binary people arent taken seriously on our own oppression, in talking about trans issues we're an afterthought, because if they cant categorize us then they refuse to talk about us. Binary people, cis and trans, get annoyed when we add onto a conversation with our non binary perspective, when we ask to be included in their talks about trans liberation and fighting against gender essentialism. We complain too much and we're too weird and too cringe, we cant use terms like transfem and transmasc without everyone assuming we're basically binary trans people, and binary trans people are so busy pitting transfem and transmasc as opposites while also saying "oh but we include non binary people!" No you dont, your inclusion is only for monogender enben whose gender is static and aligned with the binary. Because talking about only the existance of transfem and transmasc as two opposite exclusive sides is exorsexist as hell.

And dont get me started on how we dont fucking have LANGUAGE, there are so many languages that have no pronouns or neutral words to refer to people, existing in your native country means being misgendered.

We're either misgendered and invisible or misgendered and hypervisible. And people love to either act like we dont exist, or like we're basically binary cis or trans so there's no need to put effort in accounting for us.

It's literally horrific. If you're binary, at the very least there is language for you, and others to understand who you are.

I think "passing as making transness invisible" is a really good redefining of the term. That definition also allows us to talk about how even trans people who can easily be read as cis may not pass if they are openly trans or were well known (locally or more broadly) before transitioning.

And that understanding for me, stems from the reality that a major way many nonbinary people do not pass is pronouns. The minute you declare yourself nonbinary or adopt any pronoun other than he OR she, you have made yourself socially visible as trans. A 2024 study found that having they/them pronouns on a resume meant it was rejected more than not only the same resume without pronouns, but the same resume with binary pronouns. The author estimated that "74% of the discrimination faced by applicants who disclose “they/them” pronouns is rooted in their nonbinary gender identity rather than the political and other signals associated with the act of pronoun disclosure."

Without understanding this, a lot of nonbinary people are assumed to be functionally cis and move through the world as cis-passing people do, when that is often noy true—being misgendered is not the same thing as passing, but for nonbinary people, it is assumed explicitly or implicitly that if we are not gendered correctly, if we are not seen as our nonbinary genders, it must mean that we are treated as cis women and cis men and thus do not truly understand transphobia.
