oh boy, it’s that time again, and im really late, but whatever: letterboxd wrapped be upon ye

i watched more films last year (by 58! and over 100 hours!!) than any previous year since i started using letterboxd - probably more than any other year in my life. i wish i could say that was commitment or purposeful, but honestly it probably just reflects one of the worst years of mental health I’ve ever had.

Tod being most watched actor (and his director King as most watched filmmaker) no surprise, considering i worked through Indicator’s lovely Slaughter boxset.

i also watched more contemporary films than usual, and saw multiple new releases in cinemas (including all three above) which is very unlike me. I enjoyed most of them a lot too! That week in August would be when i was visiting home and trying to fit in as many viewings from my blu ray pile as possible (some of those 15 films were shorts)

a pleasingly on brand first and final watch of the year - and both were pretty great!

I can’t add the screenshot for the day I most often watched films on bc tumblr keeps crashing every time I try. No idea what that means. It was Friday anyway. Makes sense, always nice to end a horrible week with a horrible movie

yeah I think these milestones are a fair reflection of my watching habits (one of these films is not like the others). Horror will probably always be my most watched genre. Silly as a nanogenre surprised me at first, but hey, we need silliness now more than ever. I knocked another 14 films off the DPP video nasty list, leaving me with about 30 left to go - 2026 may be the year I put that to bed, but I have some other stuff I want to get into too.

So yeah, that was 2025 in film watching. Sorry for the long post, except im not really, suck it. Lb mutuals please lmk if you have made similar posts, I love seeing other people’s end of year summaries.

That’s how these crabs breathe! Flowing water has more oxygen, so doing this allows their gills to take more oxygen. Underwater you wouldn’t notice, but the water here is at just the right depth to make a it look like a cute water fountain! ==:)
