Tonight my husband told me I was banned from playing metal on the record player so I busted this number out instead: Laraaji, an intensely spiritual black man who has been making music since the late 70s. Years ago I remember being drunk out of my mind laying in the middle of my living room when I lived alone, listening to this album and thinking "fuck man, this is like the most beautiful music I have ever heard and this dude Has Life Figured Out".

I dunno what genre I consider this but it's pretty good music to zone out to.
