The famine in Gaza has reached catastrophic proportions. People collapse on the street out of hunger. They resort to going to literal killing fields for maybe a bag of flour for their family.

Please donate around 10-20 Dollars this week to any campaign of your choice. I'm donating 10 GBP to the North and South Sameer Project campaigns each. Please please donate if you can, Palestinians are dying from hunger.

This image isn't just a fleeting news item; it's part of our daily reality in Gaza. While thousands of trucks loaded with tents, blankets, food, and medicine are held outside the Strip, prevented from entering by the Israeli occupation, we face a humanitarian catastrophe that worsens day by day. We die here every moment. We suffer constantly, and everyone ignores what we're going through.

I was injured more than 600 days ago. Shrapnel from the bombing of our house, while we were inside, is still embedded in my body. I'm still injured and unable to receive proper treatment because of the siege and the lack of medical supplies. The pain is constant, but what's worse than the pain is the feeling that we're forgotten and that everyone is ignoring what we're going through. We constantly ask for help, and everyone ignores us.

My family and I are very ill now due to the winter storm that began yesterday in Gaza. Because of this winter, we haven't been able to recover due to the lack of medicine and shelter from these recurring storms. Our tent is torn and leaking rainwater and cold air. Worse still, all our blankets and pillows are soaked. We urgently need to buy medicine and treatments, but they are very expensive because the occupation prevents the entry of medicine into Gaza. Therefore, we desperately need your help by donating so we can buy these medicines quickly. Please donate.

Worse still, I have a runny nose and severe sneezing. When I sneeze, it feels like the metal fragments (stuck in my body) are moving inside me, and I experience excruciating pain in the affected areas and my wounds. Please help me so I can buy my medication as soon as possible. Please donate.

please donate

Please give what you can to help Fadel get medicine, and help he and his family survive the seige and the dangerous weather

I am very ill right now. When I sneeze, it feels like metal fragments are moving around inside me. I am extremely tired. I just sneezed, and my wounds and injured areas are in excruciating pain. I don't know how long this pain will last. Please help me by donating so I can have my surgery as soon as possible and buy my medication. Please donate.

Please help my friend Fadel. He needs care urgently. No one should have to suffer like this. Please donate if you can.

I don't know what to say or do in this intense storm and winds exceeding 70 kilometers per hour. I can barely stretch my hand out to write this post. Please, whoever shares this, please, please donate to us.

20% raised so help if you can, even if that means rbing this

The pain has become unbearable; I even wish for death. I feel no relief, and the pain is relentless. I still can't afford my medication. Every moment feels like my last. My only wish is that everyone knows what I'm going through, and that my voice reaches anyone who can help by donating so I can buy medicine and repair our torn tent. Please donate and don't abandon us.

Please help Fadel to get some medication. It is so cruel and unfair that he is enduring sickness and pain for so long without relief. Please help him.

Ragebaiting my fat dog? More like master baiting my fat hog!!!!!!!!

The kingly pig looks taken aback by this statement. "You claim to be 'baiting' our kind?.. A master of it, no less - after all the trust we hsve placed in you?"

shamefully, i haven't made a post about amal and her family @amal-ashour-new in some time. but amal has never left me, at least she has never left my heart. amal is one of the palestinians who has been on this website asking for help the longest, she's been verified multiple times and even offers her phone number to people who want to talk to her. she is a kind, gracious, and beautiful person

when i first spoke to her, her daughter maryam was just 1 and half years old. she needed milk. the genocide was raging worse than ever. now, maryam is 3, and she has a sister. amal had mina less than a month ago, and luckily the delivery went well, but mina was still born in beseiged gaza, and now amal has run out of milk and is trying to protect newborn mina from the freezing cold and floods that have already taken the lives of babies in gaza. mina's crying from chafing, her mother suffering from worry because she can't provide her baby milk! can you imagine? i'm sure many of you can

gofundme completely shut her fundraiser down because it's evil and complicit but she has a new fundraiser on chuffed and it's not even a fifth of the way to its goal. she is vetted by @bilal-sala7 (line #46)

it's actually so crazy how much the simpsons would fucking suck if it didn't have any of the simpsons characters. just a bunch of shots of empty houses and streets for half an hour while nothing happens. that would be so badddd lol

I love animation history and one of the things that always baffled me was how did animators draw the cars in 101 Dalmatians before the advent of computer graphics?

Any rigid solid object is extremely challenging for 2D artists to animate because if one stray line isnโ€™t kept perfectly in check, the object will seem to wobble and shift unnaturally.

Even as early as the mid 80โ€™s Disney was using a technique where they would animate a 3D object and then apply a 2D filter to it. This practice could be applied to any solid object a character interacts with: from lanterns a character is holding, to a book (like in Atlantis), or in the most extreme cases Cybernetic parts (like in Treasure Planet).

But 101 Dalmatians was made WAY before the advent of this technology. So how did they do the Cruella car chase sequence at the end of the film?

The answer is so simple I donโ€™t know why it didnโ€™t occur to me sooner:

They just BUILT the models and painted them white with black outlines ๐Ÿคฃ

That was the trick. Theyโ€™re not actually 2D animated, theyโ€™re stop motion. They were physical models painted white and filmed on a white background. The black outlines become the lineart lines and they just xeroxed the frame onto an animation cel and painted it like any other 2D animated frame.

Thatโ€™s how they did it! Isnโ€™t that amazing? Itโ€™s such a simple low tech solution but it looks so cool in the final product.

DB Cooper mystery solved: he survived and used the money to start the film website "IMDb" (I am DB)

Convenience isn't bad because of some inherent value in toil or it rots your soul. Convenience is bad because it often comes at the cost of an exploited underclass. I don't care if someone wants to taxi their meal to their house instead of making it themselves or even driving to the restaurant themselves. I care that meal delivery apps underpay their workers (they don't even consider them their workers), provide no workplace protections, and prey on their desperation.

The desire for convenience is a morally neutral thing (no matter how many capitalists want their workers to see unproductivity or aversion to the "grind" as a moral failing). Companies that sell you only convenience by making it worse for yourself and for others are not.
