Because actual force feminization is bad?? We don't crack eggs. That kinda goes against the prime egg directive and pushes gender norms with a progressive hat if the person isn't an egg

I don’t give a fuck about your prime shit directive you fucking nerds, kill yourselves before you shove a single miserable boy back into the closet
"There's a stupid fucking rule coming from STAR TREK that's about not interacting with lesser beings because they're too stupid and might fuck shit up if they learn about us, let's apply this to trans women with 0 critical thinking of what it implies" abolute morons.
as a star trek fan…. HUH??? how is a rule in starfleet meant to protect pre-warp civilizations technological contamination that could radically change or even destroy their cultures and civilizations (all fictional) AT ALL comparable to telling eggs it’s okay to be trans. hello??? what are we doing here???
that’s such a gross comparison to make. the prime directive in star trek exists to minimize harm (though it doesn’t always work). there’s examples of bad things happening because of interaction between warp and prewarp societies. what harm is there in this context? that an egg might start being a girl a little sooner????
(also totally not important but there are many, MANY episodes where the crew knowingly break the prime directive because it’s the right thing to do. so it doesn’t even hold up on that end.)

its a rule from star trek (a fictional property) that is specifically and constantly CRITICISED AND CHALLENGED BY SAID SHOW every other episode and that you're meant to be conflicted over in the context of "space imperialism" and the concept of "uplifting" ANYWAY. It's textually a flawed system that you're meant to struggle with, not poorly adapt into a totally unrelated real life situation!
Me, reblogging from anyone I don't follow: I'm introducing diversity into the gene pool. This will make my mutuals' dashes stronger and healthier.
Me reblogging old posts: I am reintroducing historical species into the gene pool to hybridize with the dashboard equivalent of pugs, making them stronger and healthier.
Me reblogging legacy posts: there are New Users, young Mutuals who were not here for the Old Times and do not remember the Old Ways. Someone must teach them, lest they be Lost.
Me reblogging 20 posts a day from a new hyper-fixation completely out of left field: I must strengthen the bodies and minds of my followers. Only the most determined will remain, and once we’re through, their resilience will know no bounds
Most non-Minnesotans have no idea what this means, but to put it plainly: we're raised with not just the expectation but essentially -programming- to assist others who get stuck during the winter. We'll help people we'd otherwise punch on sight if they're stuck in the snow and ice, for zero reward.
This is the level of rage we're at with ICE. I'm not joking to say it's almost physically painful to not help someone stuck like that, and it's worth it because the people stuck are ICE.
The only way we have to express how mad we are above this is channeling the First Minnesota all over again.
The Scandinavians who settled in Minnesota brought with them their Norse understanding of the laws of hospitality: you do not fuck around with winter, that if someone needs help in the winter, you help them as long as they don't actively try to hurt you or your neighbors. Food, shelter, labour, whatever, if you can help in winter, you do.
ICE has violated the "actively try to hurt you or your neighbors" bit of the laws of hospitality, and thus the hospitality has been revoked. They are free to feel winter's wrath against those who would bring harm to the community.
I like to think that Lady Skaði would be proud of her distant children.
this reminds me of the mud wizard who walked through everything without any problems while the police officers kept sliding and falling and getting stuck, you can watch it right here.
for context, this was during anti-coal protests in lützerath which went on for days and included people being forcibly removed, injured, or otherwise violated by the police. they showed up in riot gear against people simply sitting and camping and wanting to protect their forests. it was a really big deal here.

“the word transandrophobia implies that cis men are oppressed for being men and also that trans women don’t suffer oppression” yeah buddy and the word mosquito implies the existence of a larger, more powerful insect named el mosco. do you have any other fantastic insights for us
the word transandrophobia implies that cis men are oppressed for being men
Whats so wrong about that.
and also that trans women don’t suffer oppression
Hi, trans women here, no it doesn't.
This is your brain on oppositional sexism. Fucking waffle lovers, why you gotta hate pancakes?
💯 and besides, this is the same shit as "bisexuals are transphobic/enbyphobic because 'bi' means only two genders" and that was a giant crock of shit, so
>see bird creeping up and down a tree trunk
>look it up
>common treecreeper
can't make this shit up
I see a bunch of comments explaining the slur they're referring to, and I wanna make something clear to anyone who sees this:
I did not know this was a slur until literally 3 months ago! I am over 20 years old and I think my experience is pretty typical in this regard. Many of the people my age and one generation up probably never knew this was a slur, and never used it in a harmful or degrading way. I thought it just described... a kind of person. Its just something a person can be.
Not saying it isnt a slur. Not saying we should use it. I've since started to examine the way I speak in order to exclude it and similar words.
But please give people some grace if you hear them say it.
Same. I didn't discover this until a few years ago and I've since completely excluded it from my speech. I use traveller or Romani now generally
Man unintentionally teaches his Corgi sign language! 😊 Follow me for more smart puppers!
#animals are wired to pick up on body language so this probably isn't too difficult for them lol#that being said its hilarious#<- prev tags#For real?#funny
Most animals communicate with body language and voice, like we do. But I've personally seen cats and dogs lean more heavily on body language, and I'm sure other animals do too. Cats don't vocalize very much among each other, but will do so way more when with (talking/hearing) humans. And ofc, there's plenty of dogs trained on hand signals and human body language for various occupations, ex. medical service and military.
On the topic of cats and ASL, I once saw a video of a deaf man and his cat, who had learned the sign for food and kept repeating it while the owner was having a snack! Cats will find any way to beg for food lol.
