Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Audio Drama Sunday - date
I’ve really enjoyed secret agent stuff lately. I guess it’s horror, but it’s also just competent characters with Men In Black-style jobs. It seems less intense and more fun.
@project-daydream — PD 2 - Recursive - PD 3 - The Hate Machine: episode 2 was very The Magnus Archives, but I enjoyed the format of Episode 3! It’s great that 06 is getting better at her job and that 48 likes her more now — it’s bound to make whatever happens later much more painful. What’s 48 actually done/doing to 06 without her knowledge, and what’s her deal with CID? The way E4 upped the stakes and the effect it had on both the main characters was peak. 💭
@gabrielurbinatm’s Wolf 359 — The Empty Man Cometh: how many times have I relistened to this? Don’t worry about it. Even though I thought Wolf 359 got good in Cataracts and Hurricanoes (and I love the plant monster), I think this is one of the episodes that best demonstrates what the audio medium can do. It’s funny, descriptive, freaky, intense and the characters are all outstanding. I also love that Eiffel asks what sick freak would pull an experiment like that, at the end. They really did answer that question. 🪐
The Dial-Up — EPISODE 1: this series is super-short and also seems set to be super-good. It has a guy working for a tech support company who accidentally picks up calls from a lonely, enthusiastic new internet user… from the 90s. It’s got heart, comedy and mystery, and I have to wonder what happens to the man from the past. Plus, it won Best Fiction at the Independent Podcast Awards 2024. 📞
@theredactedunit — S1E11: Home Sweet Home: I saw the TV glow is such a good song. I really enjoyed the last episode, but I liked the fun House of Leaves references in this one. The way it preys on your ideal home is super thought-provoking and the fate of that poor couple left me feeling a bit disturbed. 👹
God of Obsidian — Chapter One: ooh, the Brother Grimm vibes! I love the beautiful description of the house in this podcast, the charming bridge and the icicles on the porch. And then there’s the increasingly messed-up stuff. There were so many red flags coming from her sweet boyfriend, and he bounced from charming to cold so sickeningly fast. It was fantastic acting. It also reminds me quite a bit of the podcast Uncanny Valley. 🧌
🎶B-b-b-baby, you just ain’t seen n-n-n-nothing yet🎶
Holy fuck you illegally downloaded a cardigan
Project Daydream livestream went VERY well, lots of fun was had by all.
I may or may not have started working on the floorplans to everyone’s office. >:3c

Over on https://Twitch.tv/Vocalmancer xTonight at 7:30 pm. BST. we will be hosting the first ever Project: Daydream Q&A. If you’re a newcomer to the series, or a fan who’s got burning questions, now is the time to ask them! Athena and I will be sitting down to think back to series 1, to chatter production and hint at things to come for series 2!
Guys if you want queer shit written by queers on our own terms you’re going to have to start seeking out weird independent media. I’m sorry that’s the only place you can regularly find it idk what to tell you, we can’t keep acting like there’s nothing if we’re not getting blockbusters and triple A titles or whatever it is we’re waiting around for. The thing you keep saying you want is already being offered for free by one person making a passion project on the internet and you would both benefit enormously if you interacted with it instead of lamenting that the only options we have for representation are pandering afterthoughts from corporate shit

TONIGHT! IT’S HAPPENING Y'ALL
the floating head of wisdom
Please don’t fall victim to internet misinformation. There is no floating head. It’s a regular horse, it’s neck is just hidden due to the position of the camera. I made an image to help you understand the what’s actually going on.
Thank you for the clarification
Hi Bunjy! While we are talking about art, what do you think about that photo that floats around every so often of a window in a yellow wall of a dilapidated cottage that is framing a perfect rectangular view of a horizon of ocean and sky, with an arrow labeled “free Rothko”? Do you like it? Do you think Rothko would like it?
I fucking love it, and I think Rothko would view it as his highest honor
this is what he was trying to emulate with paint and canvas, after all
The man wanted you to get lost in the sauce of color fields, and the original color field to get lost in is the connection of the sky to the horizon
That specific sickly, weird, mottled green color that appears when two mirrors are reflecting each other into infinity is so fucking beautiful… I love you weird nasty green of the aether….
