Espresseliene Demon x Angel AU

quick sketches of their designs:

I know this sounds so very cliche but hear me out for a moment okay put your trust in me and just read a bit of their lore.

“Madeleine… What did the light do to you?” -Espresso Cookie in this AU

So in this AU I played with this idea I have seen @atalkingkey (check out their post they said a lot of cool things about Madeleine) say about how Madeleine has angelic designs but he is selfish and not that good of a human being but he is still chosen by the light instead of say Financier who is a very nice woman who dosen’t act as childish and actually cares about orphans and such. Meanwhile Espresso on the other hand who has demonic or dark elements in his design such as his darker color palette, sharp design elements (the only really round thing in his design are his glasses what I like since it can symbolize how Espresso might appear unfriendly or rude, mysterious or god forbid as scary but he still has a heart of gold hence his glasses being the only round thing in his design. All the sharp angles make us expect this kind of evil guy (character design stuff) meanwhile his round glasses with his calm eyes show us a bit of his actual personality what is just this tired but nice person. Or I’m reading too much into it lmao) and also not to mention… The spooky eyes™. All these design elements make us think of a scary guy who is perhaps also kind of evil but in reality Espresso’s goals are much more selfless and kind than Madeleine’s. He just wants the best for cookie kind meanwhile Madeleine is more… Selfish. LISTEN I DO LOVE HIM A LOT AND IT GETS BETTER BUT I THOUGHT… What if I would take this to the max? What if I would… Actually make Madeleine into a corrupt angel and Espresso into a kind demon and take this concept to the max?

So here it is folks. The AU.

Also if you couldn’t already tell this is a bit of a Modern AU. I thought making Madeleine Cookie like a biker boy was such a good idea. Latte Cookie looks cute and fashionable as always, and Espresso barely changed. I like to think he would enjoy dark academia dressing styles in a modern AU as well, so that’s what I went with. Might finish these drawings heh

I wanted to yap about this post because I have very ellaborate headcanons with their netflix subscription.

So obviously Madeleine and Espresso own a the Netflix they strike me as the type of couple who likes to have long movie nights and watch like horrendously bad shows as quality time together. What I meant by “funds the account” is that we all know Espresso is broke af so I like to think him and Madeleine share a bank account because he has generational wealth and money was never a concern for him, so he lets Espresso manage finances because he is very good at saving up, spending responsibly and all that. And Madeleine trusts him :)

So Espresso is technically paying for the account but it’s probably not his money (again poor.)

Now we can move onto Parasite 1 Clotted Cream! Clotted Cream guessed the password of the Netflix account and since he’s a petty bitch he uses their subscription even though he has enaugh money to get his own. As my homie @sheyzhin said when we were talking about this “his actual Netflix account is monitored strictly and he wants privacy and the solution is he steals from his former employee god bless” So yes Clotted Cream has two Netflix accounts one for only private use and one that he steals. He doesn’t want people to know that he watches dragrace but instead of joining Latte, Madeleine, Financier and Espresso and watching it together he watches it alone and in shame.

To make this already pathetic man even more pathetic Financier dosen’t own Netflix. She comes over to watch Netflix with Espresso and Madeleine who gladly watch whatever with her, and they are BEGGING for Clotted Cream to leave so they can make an account just for Financier who dosen’t have a backup but he wont smh. I like to think that Clotted Cream dosen’t leave because he wants Financier to come over to HIS PLACE and watch stuff with HIM but he’s too pathetic to ask for that too.

Now it’s time to talk about Latte parasite 2 and this one is short and sweet. Espresso and Latte have a tradition since college of going out to drink at new years eve and getting wasted like black out drunk, and since Espresso and Madeleine started dating, they brought him along too. While Latte has an avarage alcohol tolerance, Espresso’s is slightly worse than avarage but after puking in the bathroom he’s ready for a couple more shots, Madeleine’s alcohol tolerance is awful. One beer and he’s wasted. So one time Latte, Espresso and Madeleine were out drinking and Madeleine got a bit tipsy after two beers so Latte asked him the password while Espresso went to take a piss and Latte succesfully got it. And to this day she watches Netflix on their accounts.

And yes I know Netflix only allows you to have a family package if you share an adress I don’t care.
