GET YOUR ASS IN HERE, STEVE, WE HAVE TO EXPLAIN CODEPENDENCY TO THEM

I GET PEOPLE ARE DISSAPOINTED BUT DONT HATE IT JUST CAUSE OTHER PEOPLE HATE IT. IT DOSNT MAKE YOU COOL IT MAKES ME ANGRY.

something i liked about the finale was nancy being a big sister again, I mean she is a big sister but she hasn't really sistered sistered like this for a long time and it was great to see

and what if i said nancy should’ve died..

I mean, Nancy is my favorite character and I love her so much so I’m glad she lived. However- I can completely understand and it is perfect. When she decides she’s bait, it’s a perfect example of who Nance is. Yes she’s this girlboss of power and this beautiful force of nature. But (as shown in one way or another) she’s reckless, she doesn’t think before she makes decisions and she doesn’t always think about the feelings her actions give other people. In this case, Nancy dying would affect a lot of people, as would any death in the series.Though the specifics would be Robin, Steve, Jonathan, Dustin and El.

El and Nance don’t really talk to each other in the series, except for a couple of instances, for instance in s5 the scenes are the most prominent. In ep 8 she hugs El after the fight, and in eps 1-2 she orders El to go into the upside down to find her sister, she trusts her. Even though we don’t see them interact much, in ep 8 of s3 Nancy suggests that they hide Jonathan in a tent in the wheelers basement, “like el” so they have clearly told nance about the details of the boys keeping the child in their house. The wig and the dress that El wears in s1 supposedly come from Nancy. “Is that my dress” and it doesn’t seem like the boys would enjoy dressing in wigs that style, so it could have been for nance when she dressed up for their campaigns. Then for the final bit of the transformation, Mike uses Nancy’s makeup to make el look more “normal.” for El, nance is this big sister figure, or at least I see it like that.

As for Jonathan and Steve, those boys love her, they have both agreed Nancy (I’m convinced her middle name is Elizabeth) Wheeler is special. When Nancy decides she’s bait everyone freezes, and as nance walks up she has to scream “go” to get them to move, they are content with the plan until nance puts herself on the line, then no one wants to move, they want to re think their plan. Generally in focused scenes, the people’s whose faces are prominent in the scene are important. As nance moves, you can clearly see Steve, Jonathan, Mike and Robin. Lucas is blurry and Robin is kind of blocking Dustin. Later as Nancy screams, Lucas begins running, Dustin looks devastated, Robin looks like she wants to cry and pull her back at the same time, Jonathan is still pinned in place and Steve looks back at Nance as he forces Jonathan to move.

They all love her. Though you could say anyone in the hands of death would be devastating, Lucas never really had a big connection to Nancy. Steve and Jonathan love her like a girlfriend, Dustin has loved her since he was little, the most prominent being when she danced with him at the snowball. And Robin oh my sweet Robin. That girl looked more devastated than anyone else in the whole world. That girl was crushed with the news. Possibly even with the suggestion that she could be the one responsible for killing her. Since she asked who the bait would be.

Before the finale I was distraught at the possibility of nance dying, but I promised myself it would be fine, entirely because nance had a gun. But the thing is, she’s the one with the gun, because she’s this strong force to be reckoned with. But she’s also reckless as I previously stated. She thinks of things after she does them. She puts herself at risk because she thinks it’s her duty. eldest daughter syndrome.

Eldest daughter syndrome. “While developing resilience and leadership, she may sacrifice her own needs, struggling with perfectionism and guilt, a pattern that can extend into adulthood, affecting her relationships and sense of self.” My Nancy wheeler, is the perfect example of a self sacrificial death. She would rather die than think of the consequences of her actions and how they would affect other people in the party. She does it for them. Therefore Nancy would 100% be the best person for a reasonable death. Though nance has the most powerful weapon in her hand, she is stuck with this guilt of not being able to do anything for Barb. Therefore, when given the option. She chooses to sacrifice herself for the benefit of everyone else, not because she wants to be considered the hero. But because she couldn’t save Barb. Nancy will always feel guilty and therefore will sacrifice herself, and her own needs for the benefit of every single other party member.

If you’re still here, thank you- I think I went on a tangent at some point cause Jesus Christ. Ty for listening. Lots of love char x

maya hawke got her ronance endgame through the sheer power of throwing yearning looks nancy's way thoroughout the entirety of the epilogue

Maya literally went. “Fine you won’t give me what I want. I’ll just lovingly stare at Natalia for 2 hours so you can’t actually get a decent take that could possibly mean these girls are straight. Hehehe gays forever!”

Nancy is so lesbian aunt with a cool job and a motorbike in this finale

OK BUT THERE WAS A FUCKING MOTORBIKE. SO IS IT NANCY WHO OWNS IT?? WHO THE FUCK OWNS IT CAUSE IT ISNT STEVE. STEVES TRUCK IS THERE. SO WHO OWNS THE FUCKING BIKE

I genuinely think they were going to make it queer, but then everyone kept complaining how everything is queer these days so they got scared and retreated back to their cave of doom and sadness and homophobia. I don’t think they ever intended it to be homophobic otherwise why would they have made queer characters. But also Robin was never meant to be queer, Maya had to address that herself, she was meant to end up with Steve. But she did get with Vickie only to have no actual info about that in the finale. So what the poor awkward redhead just fell off the face of the fucking earth? And the basically only other queer character gets some random ass man, meanwhile the person he’s been shipped with this entire time, gets an endgame with a girl but he can’t even tell her he loves her??? Like what. the endgame ship is onesided? Like hello?

SPOILERSSSSS

I know Maya intentionally made Robin’s epilogue interactions with Nancy a little bit flirty but I just can’t prove it.

I can just imagine Maya flirting with Nat even more than that only for the duffers to go “MAYA TOO FLIRTY.” And for Maya to just laugh and continue to flirt with her. I think the duffers gave up and went with the least flirty option cause they couldn’t get Maya to behave.

People not liking how Robin looked in the epilogue, saying she looks too feminine or she looks like Maya…

Hmmmm… Idk y’all. Nancy seemed to be eating it up, so…

THANK YOU.

See. I genuinely cannot with people. “Awww you have your own opinion about Robin. How nice, she looked feminine, too like Maya.” I disagree I genuinely thought that Robin looked beautiful. Sure she did look like Maya. Also LESBIANS CAN BE FEMMES. THEY DO NOT NEED TO ALL LOOK LIKE MEN. this is not new information people. For Nancy, her hair carried memories, and obviously she didn’t want the anymore so she cut her hair.

For Robin, she can’t exactly cut her hair when there’s not a lot of it, I like to think that growing her hair out was her version. Like the strands of hair that are at the bottom, the old ones, the ones she would cut the next time she goes to the hairdresser (or in this case I can imagine Nancy cutting her hair for her, or Mrs. Wheeler because Robin talks about how her mother doesn’t like her very much and I think Mrs. Wheeler would LOVE Robin) anyway she’s cutting off the dead ends, so that all that grows now is hair that’s healed just like how they are healing. Both girls aren’t burdened by their past. They can move on.

ALSO AGAIN ROBIN CAN BE A FEMME. LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE.
