This page gathers all the resources - articles, books, codes, API, softwares - that can help you in the implementation of your respective projects.

Projects

The proposed projects are an extension of the course. Each project is intended to provide an overview of the state of progress on a specific research topic and proposes a set of resources (papers, books, ...) as a starting point. Some of these resources, especially the papers, use concepts that are currently in use. All your developments should be done in C/C++, Python or Javascript if necessary. For the graphical part of your developments, you should preferably use tools such as OpenGL, ANARI, VTK, OptiX (CUDA based) ou OSPRay (Embree based). Depending on the subjects covered, you can also use tools such as CUDA and GLSL. Finally, as regards the GUI, once again use tools such as Qt (with QGLViewer), JUCE or ImGui.

It is therefore important for you to read all these resources, to understand them, to compare them, to discuss the proposed approaches, and even to propose new ideas ...

The game rules:

  • Projects will be done in groups of 2 to 3 people.
  • Each project will be the object of a report and a presentation.
  • The report must be submitted no later than 1 week before the presentation.
  • You will have 20 minutes per project. Be careful not to exceed this time limit. The presentation should be well-balanced among the students in the group. You also prefer a synthesis rather than a linear transcription of the articles!

  • All of these last points will be taken into account in your rating.

Don't forget to use Google Scholar for your bibliographical queries. Projects are classified by degree of difficulty.
